Total rebounds per game is overrated stat, since he played so many minutes per game. Course it is hard to keep going while playing hard over 30 mins per game, so I give props to him. But still, his rebounding was not that great.

His FG was not 53%, it was 43.6%, which is really bad, its 20%+ lower than Valanciunas' and that says a lot...
He averaged 4.6 three point attempts per game and gad only 1.2 point per shot... Ok?
He was only 8th. best on TS% on his own team, which is 49.8%
His USG% was over 29%, meanwhile his PER% was only 13.5% (ratio wise, best NBA equivalents are Jordan Crawford and Stephen Jackson)

Come on, man, you are way too much on stats . First of all, don't forget Val's % will drop most likely with increased playing time because you're not getting fresh with tons of minutes. Second, Motiejunas' field goals accuracy is not so sexy only because of these threes. Smart coach won't let him bricking till he is really good at it (Kleiza turned out a perfect shooter while he was barely a shooter after NCAA). He is highly efficient under the glass with his super post quick post moves and finishing with either hand. Still plenty of room to get bigger and to become a bigger beast in the paint. Also, as I mentioned his teammates sucks and he was a clear guy to go in his teams, that means constant effort to shut him off and that's even bigger than Val gets in Rytas. So Motiejunas had to take some action for creating his shots and that's always more risky than taking open shots. I'm not saying DM is JV, but he is huge prospect too and might be a complete steal of the drafts. He sharply improved his body last year and if he goes the same way further, Rockets will have a real beast inside. Believe me. And in fresh overview of Motiejunas, rockets staff wants him to play in low post as much as it possible. And yet he has perfect mechanics for distant shooting and with age there should be a consistency. All and other makes your statement crazy, because he is top 4 or top 5 European prospect with Val, Rubio, Kanter and Saric.

Looking at the playoff format, how come Rytas and a couple other teams have to win 3 games to be in the finals, while other teams like CSKA and UNICS only have to play one to make it in the finals? Or am I not understanding something?

Both CSKA and UNICS finished 1st in their group, they get an advantage for that.

Its based on your record during the regular season - the top teams in each group automatically get a bye to the finals - the second place teams get a bye to the second round.
The absurd mystery of the strange forces of existence.

You talking about VTB right? I dont know how it works, but it looks like regular season conference winners goes straight to Final 4, meanwhile other 6 teams fights for other 2 spots. Thats just how it is, not all the leagues uses play off format.

And today they play Eurocup game I believe, so its no related.

Yeah I was just looking at the VTB league. That's crazy, getting a bye all the way to the final 4 based on your record.

Why was that minute of silence? Did something tragic happen somewhere in the world AGAIN?
