Ultimately though I really can see POR settling on Dort and #12

I agree Re: Masai/Bobby and leverage, I also don’t think a trade involving OG is unlikely but if it was to happen, you can bet Masai is using Portland more as a floor setter vs a trade partner (ring ring, hello Vivek…you hear that Portland really likes OG and is offering the #7 pick, sorry can’t confirm, what…you’re wondering if #4 is good enough, thanks but OG is part of the core, what…#4 + Harrison Barnes, no thanks we really like OG and his combo of defence + offence + potential growth, what…#4 + HB plus a future unprotected pick…we’re listening!!!)

OG for HB + #4 + Mitchell

Lmaooo I can see the Kings doing it. Vivek is such an idiot.

Not specifically but I think he is generally liked by his players. It’s not like he is saying he is excited to have SVG or Thibs as his coach.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

jaden ivy is trying to avoid kings(not working out/medicals), more than a few players/agents prioritize fit/teams etc vs getting drafted highest.
reportedly chet is doing same and angling to a specific team (rumors thunder)

lmao, he's probably just excited to be drafted high because his salary would be higher.

I guess it's because he coached LeBron, and Daniels is a LeBron archetype in theory.

He probably doesn't have a firm landing spot yet that he's comfortable with. He was working out for Charlotte, iirc, just a week ago. Or maybe it was Washington, but either way it wasn't great. If it's the difference between 4 and 10, he'd be excited to play for Jim Boylen.

If Masai likes Sharpe, then ya, fleece them. I like Mathurin and Daniels too, but they're just alright, imo. Biggest boom or bust guy is Sharpe, and if Masai thinks he's a potential superstar, then sure, take him+Hart+future 1st rounder

Pretty much my line of thinking. I like Mathurin/Daniels but don't think they are projected to be stars.

Sharpe is intriguing to me, can be a Trent like player with better size and athleticism. He seems to be too gifted to be a total bust that will be out of the league in a few years, but what do I know.

If any of these 3 is attainable with Trent + sweentener, I hope we hit the phones.

I would bet against Masai loving Sharpe. Doesn't have insane measurables and he didn't play in college and we tend to like longbois (Caboclo, Barnes, Banton) or guys who were great in college (Siakam, Flynn). And apparently he's just looked similar to the Mathurin/Davis 2 guards going closer to 10 than 5.

Now Griffin I could see. He can shoot it and we might think his body will rebound after an injury and he was playing without some explosiveness. Mathurin too, as he improved a ton from year 1 to year 2 and may well possess some dawg in him, as well as the frame to guard bigs when we switch and rotate as hellaciously as last year. Don't see Sharpe boxing out 4s.

Will added 15lbs of muscle confirmed.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.
