That's really not "hot" at all tbh, at least not imo. Soon as you seen in his rookie season what huge growth he made even from college, I thought it became quite apparent that he's a better prospect than both Bosh & DeMar were.

He may end up THE best.

VC was (half man, half) amazing but he only got us to the semis. I can see Scottie having the potential to take us further since his style of play also incorporates his teammates better, not to mention being far more versatile as a player as a rebounder & passer (those things matter too) & a great bball IQ.

Vince already passed him the torch with ROTY award.

Let's be real we didn't even pick Carter we traded for him  .. Our best pick career wise is T-Mac even though he didn't do much for us lol Carter 2nd if you count that as a pick.
3 Bosh
4 Derozan

Our best pick is Siakam and it frankly isn’t close

Of course there are things to clean up (TOs are too high) but he is arriving right before our eyes.

He sees it. He's just not someone who's trying to dominate the game by taking over all the scoring. He has multiple ways he can win you games and he has always been a team first guy. That's why people have compared his style to LeBron James in how he plays (his approach with his team). Eventually you will see him try to score more with purpose throughout games. But he's someone who can get his team involved for half the game and then get an easy 20 the next half.

Ah I’d think actual production with the Raptors was what was being discussed

Alright you clods, lets get this back on topic.

Scottie looking All-NBA so far, 21/10/5/1/2.4 on 59.7% TS%. Honestly just insane just from last year.

Tbh I wasn't sure what the criteria was either, the answer can really change depending on context

Can't really know exactly how badly Nurse set Barnes back with the junk take-turns offense while he just stood there in the nether zone. And that's with the pre-Jak spacing lineups too. Such a wasted year.

Not to mention guys like Pascal and Precious who will have to unlearn a ton of bad habits.

Pascal at least had the bench mob year with Jak for some good team based ball. Likely getting some flashbacks every time he makes a bounce pass to him to speed up the deprogramming.

Scottie would have had another triple-double last night if the bench didn't stink it up as usual (offensively).

He got both Gary and Gradey so many good looks from 3 that they failed to convert. It was so frustrating to watch.

Idk if that's something he can learn, it's all about how much the nba machine hypes him up. You have guys like trae young who get breathed on and it's a foul. There's a ton of Scottie drives that he could've gotten arbitrary foul Calls on but didn't.
