Dream scenarios the likes of which the other teams will want nothing to do with.

Detroit doesnt want to add more salary by taking on Bargnani especially at the expense of their 1st.

Charlotte isnt taking Calderon now that DJ is playing up to expectations.

IF LAC decided to S&T Jordan it wont be for Diaw, thats for damn sure!

About the only thing you got right was 'draft Barnes' which could/will happen independent of any of your suggested moves.

If we are taking back Villanueva's 7.5 million contract, I don't see the problem. I think they'd much rather pay Bargs 9.2 than Villanueva 7.5. Both are defensive liabilities but Bargs is far superior offensively.

Not according to Bobcat fans.

In a sign and trade, the team that trades rarely gets full value but Diaw, Diop and Bayless for Jordan and Mo Williams saves the cheap clips money. Bayless is a cheaper backup than Mo and Diaw expires in a year. Diop provides a backup behind Kaman.

1. Toronto Trade Bargs to Detroit for Villanueva + Detroit 1st rounder

Detroit after trade
Monroe/Wallace/Alabi
Bargs/Wilcox/Maxiell

Hamilton/McGrady/Gordon
Stuckey/Bynum

2. Trade Calderon + Kleiza + Alabi to Charlotte for Diaw + Diop

Charlotte after trade
Brown/Thomas/Alabi
Thomas/Kleiza/Cunningham/White
Jackson/Kleiza/Najera
Henderson/Carroll
Augustin/Calderon/Livingston

3. Draft Barnes and Walker/Knight

4a. Sign and trade De-Andre Jordan (10mil) for Diaw
4b. Trade Diop + Bayless for Mo Williams

LAC after trade
Kaman/Diop/Cook
Griffin/Diaw/Smith/Diogu
Diaw/Gomes
Gordon/Foye
Bledsoe/Bayless

5. Resign Evans, Weems, Dosey to cheap contracts
Jordan/Amir/Evans
Ed/Villanueva/Dorsey
Barnes/JJohnson/Weems
DeRozan/Barbosa/Weems
Walker or Knight/MWilliams/Barbosa

Trade Villanueva for a backup C

No one is going to trade a high 1st round pick for Bargnani.

I miss the part where they are talking about taking on Calderon in that thread. That thread discusses whether they could acquire a 1st round pick for DJ.

DJ is not meeting expectations and several bobcat fans suggested bringing in another PG to push him. Calderon fits that bill.

Kleiza represents a cheaper version of Diaw with more post game at the PF position and significantly less ball handling at the SF position which they don't need with Jackson there. Diop and Kleiza have both been injured for significant portions of this year.

I think the biggest weakness of my trade proposal is elmer_yuck's point that Bargs is not worth a 1st rounder for Detroit. Maybe adding a lottery protected future 1st rounder would even the scales a bit.

Bargs + lottery protected 1st for Villaneuva + Detroit 1st

* assuming Barnes, Williams, Irving are gone.

To TOR: Galinari + Koufos + #22
To DEN: Barbosa + #4

To TOR: Biedrins (absorbed through TE) + Bell + Cash (3 million)
To GSW: Klezia

i would draft Josh Shelby at #22, getting a PG prospect that was rated high during the year and has fallen. Koufos is also a former first rounder and big body to throw out there.

final lineup:
- Weems re-signed to a deal starting at 2 million per year
- Bayless given starting spot

Bayless / Calderon / Shelby (#22)
Derozan / Weems / Bell
Galinari / Johnson
Davis / Johnson / Koufos
Bargnani / Biedrins / Alabi

i like that team a lot... Gallo compliments Derozan nicely, Weems gets his ideal role as off the bench playing SG with Johnson and i think thats a good fit for him. Bell is an insurance vet guard that can help mentor the young guys. Its a very young team but i like the overall looks of it. Having vets like Calderon and Bell would benefit the overall direction of the team too. I hope Calderon would accept a backup role.

To TOR: Jennings + Delfino (cut) + Biedrins + Bell + #9/10
To GSW: Dooling + Klezia
To MIL: Calderon + #3/4

Bucks move up get their PF beside Bogut and still get a solid option at PG

Raptors move down get a young PG and take someone like T.Jones

Warriors save money get a backup PG. save 6.4 million instantly

Jennings / Bayless / Bell
Derozan / Barbosa
Jones / J.Johnson / Weems
Davis / A.Johnson
Bargnani / Biedrins / Alabi

You could keep Weems if you want but Jennings and demar are good friends. That team is pretty sick. I just don't know for sure if the Bucks do it

Calderon / FA
Salmons / FA
Maggette / Irsan
Kanter / Gooden / Brockman
Bogut / Sanders

Even better if we could sign JR Smith to be our 6th man and keep the three friends together with long term deals, add in Amir who is also from LA and we have a young core that have swagger and want to play together, and more importantly win

To get mcgee and to swop picks you have to sweeten the deal by taking lewis. Crawford actually has decent numbers per 48 mins. I think this kid has the potential to develop into a dorell wright type 3pt talent (which the raptors lack) the real key is holding two lottery picks in the 2012 draft which I believe could go down as one of the best ever. 2011's trade after the top 3 picks is terrible, and even the top 3 are the weakest since Bargnani and kenyon martins class

Wow, a lot of really unrealistic trades in here.

I was going to come in with:

Calderon/ Bargnani

for

Rashard Lewis/ 18th pick

You'd think Wall could make Bargnani look like a useful piece. This may even be an unrealistic trade. Depends on how desperate Washington is to put scorers around Wall (Bargnani). Calderon could help mentor him.

Bayless/ ???
Derozan/ Barbosa
Lewis/ Johnson
Davis/ Johnson
Kanter/ ????

I would absolutely LOVE that trade, but it's a horrible trade for Washington. They get fleeced in pretty much every aspect.
