Sharpe doesn't bring the same type of tenacity or focus that a Dyson Daniels or Trey Murphy does at both ends of the floor. It's hard to envision him being anything more than a barely adequate defender. He doesn't have great court vision, doesn't rebound the ball particularly well, still major question marks about his shooting. Lots of holes in his game, definitely not a star player... probably a 7th or 8th man type if he develops a bit. I thought he was a scrub before the draft and still think he is.

Big fan of both Trey Murphy and Dyson Daniels. Herb Jones as well!

I might be completely wrong but I think I vaguely remember Masai (or maybe Bobby) were seen sitting and watching Shaedon doing a workout during the combine. Not sure if there was anything more than that like a private workout though

The reality that I think it's gonna be an either/or scenario regarding Daniels and Murphy if the rumors about NO's interest in OG are true. They'll probably only give up 1 of them and throw in a 1st. If Masai somehow gets both of them even without a pick included, that is still highway robbery.

Agreed that would make Masai seem God-like as a trader, but I don't think it's very likely. I think they'd probably come down to something like one of Daniels or Murphy, some ballast contracts (Devonte Graham most likely), and the Lakers pick but with a top 2 protection added to it (and if it doesn't transfer, the highest of their picks for next year). And that would be fine.

Ending up with Daniels and the #10 pick, for example, isn't amazing, but it would help to begin balancing the roster and provide more depth for next season.

I’m guessing Masai probably told them that he wants to work them out with the hopes for a trade in the future (even if not at the draft). Dyson also put on a show and had his best game against the Raptors so makes me think he is aware of Masai’s interest in trading for him at some point

They interviewed Daniels and Mathurin around combine time, not sure if they actually worked out with them. I suspect that was due to trade talks at the time.

Another thing that would be nice with Daniels and Murphy is they are young kids with 0 sense of entitlement. Entitlement has IMO destroyed this team from the inside out. It's ok to act entitled if you are actually good at basketball and can get dubs, but that ain't the case with the primadonnas on this team.

Murphy would be great insurance for GTJ walking because honestly, who is gonna shoot the ball well from deep if GTJ and FVV are gone. Joe Wieskamp?
