Ah I’d think actual production with the Raptors was what was being discussed

Tbh I wasn't sure what the criteria was either, the answer can really change depending on context

The criteria was performance with the Raptors, so TMac is pretty low on my list
Masai's to do list

Naw we want him to stay with Toronto. Only way this happens is he's no longer on the Canadian team.

Idk if that's something he can learn, it's all about how much the nba machine hypes him up. You have guys like trae young who get breathed on and it's a foul. There's a ton of Scottie drives that he could've gotten arbitrary foul Calls on but didn't.

I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle, while there are a bunch of fouls he should get calls for, he also doesn't understand how to sell them either. That is sadly a skill in itself.

Never mention Franz Wagner or Evan Mobley (who I wanted to draft) to me again. Josh Giddey? Cram it with walnuts, ugly.

3 Bosh
4 Derozan

Our best pick is Siakam and it frankly isn’t close

JV can't be far behind

JV is not even close at all. He’s miiiiiles behind.

Siakam - 2x allstar, 2x allnba, champion
Valanciunas - ?

The only arguments can be Siakam, Bosh, Carter. Personal accolades wise they’re close, but the championship kind of just elevates Siakam as the GOAT Raptor draft pick.

The fact he was a late first just is gravy

My expectations was to get to Haliburton tier and hes reached that quite easily.

The only reason hes not getting the raw scoring numbers is due to :

1) His approach to the game, hes more of “set up team, then turn it on” guy.

2) Shot distribution

Jesus no one was saying he's better than siakam, if the list is beat draft picks I'll give you some time to regroup emotionally and think about who would be on the list after siakam

Scottie could easily be averaging 25ppg right now based on his regular FG/FT%, 2 more FGA and 1 more FTA a game and he's sitting at 25ppg easily. Granted, this also assumes his 3p% stays where it is which is.....unlikely to say the least lol. He's gotta get up to 5/6 FTA a game imo.

With his strength he has the same issues that LeBron, Kawhi Shaq etc.had

He will likely have to start embellishing calls and look to be a bit of freethrow merchant. DeRozan style.

that's a big mentality shift - right now he's still shooting to make the shot - meaning he will adjust in mid air to make sure he gets the shot off. like you said, next step is for him to understand the shot's not there but the foul is.

I just really love the progression of his shooting mechanics. He really hasn't have many bad looking misses from 3. Either short or long if he does miss. The mechanics are more compact and repeatable. I think he's going to be able to maintain his shooting for the season. Not at 43% rate that it's at now but it will level off to about 35-37% on the year, which is a HUGE development!

Its a fine line, because these type of tactics tend to make a player unfavorable to some fans.

state wise, his number is really impressive even only 5 games sample
how do you guys think how many games he need to keep this performance to get enough notice from the league?

I say 20 games if our w% is over 50%
