Donatas is not a player i'd want, it seems like he's lacking strength to attack the basket and is pretty weak on the defensive side not a great combination unless your the raptors where we seem to hold onto these type of players:

The main thing holding Motiejunas back at the moment is his lack of strength, which has been incredibly evident in all the film we’ve seen thus far, on both ends of the court. Motiejunas lacks the bulk to operate as effectively in the paint as his terrific skill-set and athleticism indicates he should be able to, struggling to establish position inside and having a very difficult time finishing his moves in traffic when taking contact around the rim.

Defensively, Motiejunas is getting posted up quite a bit, leading him to foul at a very high rate, and having a difficult time with his off the ball defense, looking somewhat lost on rotations. He’s agile enough to step out nicely on the perimeter and hedge screens defending the pick and roll, but will require experience at this level to learn how to put his athletic gifts to proper use

You could replace the name Donut with Bargs and it would be an accurate dipiction, except Bargs has improved his strength over the last 4 years so he's not a liability on post up man D.

With our cursed luck.......

We'll intentionally stay away from the european players & they'll turn into the top players in the draft.

NBADraft.net had us drafting Kyrie Irving and Michael Gilchrist for the next 2 years, if this fantasy becomes a reality it would definitely make me jizz hard in my tight pants!

But a loss tonight would have the Raptors drafting:

Harrison Barnes and Andre Drummond!

Umm now that I wouldn't mind having too! But I still like Irving and Gilchrist better tho.

I also wonder if we end up unfortunately drafting 4th in the draft and with Barnes Irving and Jones all gone. Who would we pick then? Sullinger or Kanter?!?! Sullinger looks like a beast tho (please don't tell me we need to draft Brandon Knight at 4th lol)

I like Kanter. The Raptors still need a center! That would suck though, but I wouldn't lose too much sleep. Draft Kanter, dangle Kleiza, Weems, Bargnani, expirers, Miami pick, future picks, tpe for a young point like Rubio.

1) Draft Kanter
2) Trade Barbosa (expirer), Miami pick, Weems for rights to Rubio and take Darko's ugly deal off their hands (yuck).

Rubio / Jack
DeMar /
Kleiza /
E. Davis / Amir
Kanter / Bargnani

Then move Calderon for another bad contract, but at the 2/3 spot. You'd have the TPE to play with as well, and you'd be well under the cap.

It's a much bigger gamble since Kanter and Rubio are much riskier then Jones/Barnes/Irving, but if they panned out you'd have a nice young team that would probably be down to stay in TO long term.

Then draft a SF in the 2012 draft. 4 of the top 6 guys projected in 2012 are small forwards.

NCAA just ruled Enes Kanter ineligible to play. I guess he's gotta go back to Europe now.

It could hurt his stock a little bit (especially if it takes him time before he gets a contract sorted out in Europe). I think he would have definitely gone top 5 if he went to Kentucky, he'll probably still be a top 10 pick though.

^ That's crazy.

This is the kind of post that will probably seem embarrassing by the draft, but has anyone pondered the possibility that Miami's pick will be ever so slightly higher than we expected?

Yep, I think we'll probably end up with a pick in the low-to-mid 20's from them, which is decent. Still hoping for things to work out so we get the #15 pick though
