You've got American players like Bonner doing everything they can to play for Canada, & some of our best talent is turning down what should be a humbling, yet prideful & honorable opportunity.

Hopefully this all changes with the next generation.....

Wow tough draw for Lithuania to get put in group A. They finally started to find a rhythm though and have 3 more weeks of training before the tournament starts so I'd still expect them to get through to the quarter finals. Jonas is going to have some tough matchups in that group.

Great Britain have a real chance to get through to the quarterfinals which would be massive for them. I can't wait, I've got tickets to see all the quarter final knockout games at the O2 and would be good to see Team GB make it.

you gotta get through Australia first.

No Bogut or Irving, but we're young and will rebound and run like there's no tomorrow. Plus we have Hobo Hurricane and Patty Mills.

It should be heaps of fun. Can't wait for it to start.

I'm really hoping that happens. That would mean Lithuania's streak of consecutive semi - finals appearances in Olympics basketball tournament would go up to 6 times all the way back from '92. That's crazy when you think about it - only USA has managed to do it.

Now this one is kind of funny, there's a for lols song in Lithuania called "If you're not jumping then you're a gay" (kind of difficult to translate) so if you're wandering what are they singing there at the end and why are they all jumping now you know xD.

Yeah, the ugly side of the fan culture.
Somebody will need to sit down with the guy and explain some things to him before he becomes a full Raptor. As homeland-promoted homophobia and other issues can catch up with the boy and hurt him badly in the NBA. Not that he has done many things on his own, although he has done some stupids things too... - yet he is for sure not be fully aware of the cultural differences that he signed up for.

Well, when a team qualifies to all of the Olympic main tournaments, and makes the final four every single time, you're bound to be quite high :)

That's probably because of this - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lithuania_national_basketball_team#Competitive_record

And Lithuania is the smallest country in Olympics based on the size of the country and it's population. Other countries are muuuuch bigger and have more people than we do. I just wanted to brag a little bit :)
