Re: Should Bryan Colangelo be Fired
It is time for IL MAGO to pull out his 13 games of pure dominance to calm the masses. Garbojosa is the missing piece that glues this paper mache masterpiece together.
Before we fire BC I say let him sign one more free agent and see what he can turn another first round draft pick into via trade.

Let's turn BC into a politician basically.
Firing him so that he can't damage the organization any longer in any way might just be a tad safer than that idea.

Re: Should Bryan Colangelo be Fired
WTF is everyone talking about bringing credibility and respect or being worried about who replaces him? The guy has done the worst job possible and I don't think anyone could possibly do worse. We haven't made the playoffs in what, 6 years? We have no cap flex, no draft pick (not that I mind with Lowry as the reason) has made MULTIPLE bad freeagent signings that are unanimously viewed as horrible contracts throughout the league, provided overpriced extensions time and time again, and has not improved this team over the long run. A chimp could make the moves he has with just as much success. His only saving grace has been drafting and they really have just been players who have fallen to him from projected higher picks. Get rid of him and let Ed be the interim GM, then go for someone else in the offseason. Its a shame we didnt fire his ass ages ago and make Masai Ujiri GM....

Re: Should Bryan Colangelo be Fired
The only person who brought credibility and respect to the Raptors was Vince Carter. No one else has done that, including Colangelo. I'm pretty sure Colangelo is looked at around the league as a pretty incompetent GM.

lol. Remember after Bosh left BC said in his press conference that he always gets props from other GMs about how good a job he's doing. They probably send them to him so he never gets fired haha. He makes their jobs easier.

Re: Should Bryan Colangelo be Fired
If BC can't get a move done for a major starting/all-star piece before the deadline then I think the writing is on the wall.
I've generally been a supporter of his but that will be it for me. I'll give him until all-star break to make something happen but if he can't then we need to start the search for his replacement and let his contract expire at the end of the season.

Re: Should Bryan Colangelo be Fired
Should this even be a discussion? Listen, if anyone of us preformed this poorly at our job we would have been fired. HIs productivity sucks, he lacks vision and mismanages money like he grew up in the ghetto and got osap. Really, what did everyone expect from this roster? It lacks talent and cannot be a serious competitor in this league. This organization is a joke and it's all BC's doing. The Landry Fields fiasco should be the last straw, it has be be arguably one on the worst signings in Raptors history. All the other teams have gotten better over the summer, eg, BKL, NY, HOU, PHI, MIN and we got Landry and Lowry. I'm not complaining about Lowry but BC almost promised an all-star SF. I havent enjoyed a raptors game in years.

He should have been fired for re-hiring Sam Mitchell and then Triano. Richard Peddie should be fired for re-hiring Colangelo. I think Peddie know almost nothing about hoops.

If they don't make the playoffs this year, yes. If they make it, no.

Re: Should Bryan Colangelo be Fired
He really has to be. He hasn't shown much insight when it comes to players. Jose
and Andrea will be here forever if he stays.
If you list all of his moves, it is really bad. If he had another name, he would have
been fired a few years ago.
EPIC FAIL

Re: Should Bryan Colangelo be Fired
I am seriously considering setting up a thread on this board to get #fireBC trending in Canada and getitng one of our news outlets to pick it up.
It is the only way for us to be recognized as fans.
Would anyone else be down for that?

Re: Should Bryan Colangelo be Fired
The time to fire him was long ago. Fire him and ship Bargs and as many scrubs out as possible. Bring in someone who has learned under a great GM and is not a salesman. Replace Bargs with one of Smith, Milsap or Jefferson and move on.

It is true. For every 'good' move, he has made 3 horrible moves.

Re: Should Bryan Colangelo be Fired
This team will improve this season over last season. That should be expected after four years of lottery picks, the trading of a lottery pick, the extension of a player for $40M, and a free agent acquisition of $6million during the offeason.
The question is how much improvement is acceptable. And more importantly does the core that has been built and essentially locked into (due to long temr contracts and the trading of the 2013 pick) have a future as a perennial playoff team, and at least a middle seeded playoff team in the future.
If the team is in the playoffs, its very easy to see.
The question will be if the team wins 30-37 games. It will be improvement - but does it actually show that this team will actually be a perenial playoff team? It may or may not. That becomes very difficult to assess. Expect another BC spin job either way.
