Amazing work. So classic and timeless, and when you think about the best jerseys in the league - Celts, Lakers, Knicks, Bulls - that's what they all have in common. You really captured that by keeping things clean and adding your own touches. I would, however, agree that the logo needs refining. The secondary is great though. Love the colours too.

I see a lot of people in this thread asking for pinstripes, but pinstripes look like garbage on a basketball jersey. Whenever I walk through Kensington I see racks of pinstriped Pacers, Magic and Bulls jerseys that people came to their senses on. Keep that garbage in baseball.

On closer inspection I would say that the cursive is fantastic, leave that as is. The dog's head I would change a bit to make it look more like a husky rather than a direwolf. The teeth could be less jagged with more prominent fangs, and the sshape of the head could be made to look a bit more like a husky - bigger ears, shorter more sloped snout

Hendrix wrote:I like your work, and this really doesn't have anything do with your work. But, I really don't like the name 'Huskies'. Some of Toronto's biggest problems have been the perception around the league that it is cold. Some of the first things that pop into my head when I think of 'Huskies' is 'cold', 'north', 'Minnesota Timberwolves'. It seems (to me atleast) to carry some negative connotations, that we really probably don't want to emphasize, and is similar to the Timberwolves.

I think the Raptors mascot is awesome, and the name is perfectly fine. At this point, who cares if it came from a movie? It's as good a name as any.

All that said, as far as 'Huskies' logos go, I think you did a great job.

Let's name our team the Toronto tropical islands. Free agents will think of warm weather, sand and such. We'll be the new Miami heat.

I like the overall look, but the husky image/logo would definitely be considered a copyright infringement (re: game of thrones wolf image). Even if it were to be fine (legally), the influence is much too blatant.

I love the jerseys, the font, everything pretty much except for that the husky looks a little too much like a dragon. Maybe add some red or baby blue trim for an alternate like the old jays jerseys, or the old kings jerseys

If you could stick a link in there to this thread that would be great. thanks.

Ideally I'd like to keep conversation about this just to this thread as this is only the start of a process.

Looks amazing. Make sure to trademark it before BC steals it.

Great job, Los Manos!

Can you do something with the 'Raptors' name?

Amazing but I feel like we are getting sued with that logo.

As echoed by others: I really like them and the Husky logo, but it's too similar to House Stark to make it as a Team Logo. Not sure how to go about getting permission to use it from the original creators/owners, but it's too similar to get away without their OK. Play with it a bit more. I'm sure you can do something to it to make it different enough.

Very cool though.

Also I really like the Basketball Maple leaf logo on the shorts.

Love the retro vibe. I'm fully onboard with a Huskies rebrand and I think a retro look makes the most sense. It was the name of the Toronto team that played the very first professional basketball game, as you're surely aware, so retro is definitely the way to go. I think the actual logo looks a little too much like a wolf. Maybe too ferocious, though I know some people would prefer that. Other than that, great work. Really like the blue and white and the lettering of Huskies on the jerseys looks pretty damn solid. Great job overall.

How would the jersey look like with a rounded neck? Similar to the bulls jersey

Ok clearly there are differences, I guess I am just a G.O.T nut.

Please don't take it the wrong way but I think you should move away from the direwolf template and design something of your own for the Husky logo.

I think if you keep that template it will always bring people back to G.O.T based on the way it looks (side view, snarling teeth and the fur).

I love the blue and white though.

Maybe something along the lines of the UCONN.

Lol. This is the second time I've seen someone respond to the Huskies name with the idiotic notion that players will suddenly think Toronto is colder than it actually is. They've all been here before. Do people really think they are stupid enough to suddenly change their opinion of the city based on the name of a sports team? lol

Great work and the jerseys look very solid and Kentucky-esque.
