JV looks faster than I expected with the extra weight getting around on pick and roll D and recovering to his own man. Also made a couple of good passes that could have been assists.

Happy with what I see from JV to start, though he still jumps to contest jump shots on the perimeter which I don't really like

Nice cut and passes by JV.

Lithuanian backcourt making some poor decisions so far on offense and defence

That extra size looks impressive out there! Nobody can contain JV! If only the team would actually use him on offence!
Props to TZ for the sig:

Color me impressed with his improved footwork. He needs to have a softer touch around the rim though. Possibly still trying to adjust after all the muscle development perhaps?

10/5 or 6. He looks really agile and quick on offense. Though defensively, still needs a lot of work.

He has 12 points, 4/5 FG and 4/4 FT and a few rebounds. Has looked like a beast a few times, really good passing by him. Doesn't look slow at all.

The guards are missing him a lot on the rolls, but he is bullying people on the inside and showing good patience with the basketball in his hands. Getting to the line a lot too it seems! He should have a lot more points than he does if the guards could find him better. Rolling very well with improved footwork and aggressiveness!

Just as I'm typing this he gets a slam dunk off the pick and roll to end the half!

Exactly, he looks a lot quicker than last year at the same time.

I wish he got to work in the post more. He got like two touches there and both resulted in opponents fouling him. I especially loved how he took on three players from Finland once, dude looks way too big to handle for them. His opponents look too afraid to even do anything against him offensively. And finally, he looks really quick, I think quicker than he did last season.

I only saw 5 mins of the game. Does he look quicker because the opponents are less athletic than NBA players? He did appear more fluid in his movements.

The thing I am most happy about is his passing - some really good court vision in different scenarios, out of a double team, on a move after a pick'n'roll, some great inside out too. I think he has 2 assists, but really he could have 4-5 at the half. His defense in the post was very good, but there were some issues with rotations. On the other hand, it's fairly understandable, since the Finns are a pretty small team and they all stay around perimeter, where it's not easy for JV to constantly catch them.

Nope, I was wrong. JV has 8 rebounds, not 6 :D So 12/8 (4/5 FG 4/4 FT)
