I liked what I saw from JV tonight in terms of passing off the double teams. Still don't like overhelping in defense and/or misreading opponent's plays.

Bruno may see his minutes already this year I guess. And this may happen due to his defense. I like how he uses his verticality and (oh my) his arm length. Today, I saw usual rookie disrespect. He had to get at least 2 calls on shooting but...

And, and Lou - as one said here he'll get 50/50 love and hate due to his chucking - depending on hit GW or not. He delivers all we expected from him as the best case but his shooting percentage is far from perfect or even good. This might be due to being surrounded by guys with not falling shots like today and he has no other choice but shoot. We'll see how it happens in the games that count.

JV delivered (amid some cringe moments) when he was given the ball. He really needs to be given the ball more consistently, not every possession like they did in the 3rd, but more consistently across the entire time he's on the court. He showed the ability to be patient and find the open man when doubled, as well as kick the ball out to shooters off an attack. Still needs to tone down the pump fakes, but it's getting better. I think Ross will just be flashes of attacking potential. Not sure he has the mentality to do that consistently. He settles for jumpers too often - either contested 3's off kickouts or pullups off drives. Needs to keep pushing into the paint. I wonder if the coaching staff can find ways to force him to do it? Drill it into his head, practice attacking off closeouts with two lines of defense?

It looked like Ross was trying to attack but got himself trapped on the baseline too many times. I think involving Ross in the PnR would actually need dividends as he's shown to produce well either for the score or the assist.

For JV the guards have to do a better job of not hesitating in giving him the ball when he has position. He did make good reads out of the double teams today, which is a good sign. Still uses the pumpfake when he really doesn't need to though. I do agree that the offense should go to him but not just through post ups but also through PnR and dumpoffs from guard penetration.

Though his defense tonight was bleh in PnR and in the paint -_-

Bruno should be starting half way through the season. He had the highest +/- on the team and he made a big impact on the defensive end. He just needs to get his shot going. I see him being a great offensive rebounder with his huge wingspan later on. Ross is just another role player he can't handle the ball or get to the line, he's a bench player.

Meh it's just one guy going nuts. I like how he he does the thingwhere he talks junk out of salt, someone says something witty to him and he turns it back on you saying you are mad lol. We all can see which guy is being the sore loser. If he can't handle it well it's his and that one other guys fault. But the rest of them are having fun with preseason just like we are.

Casey. He "Started" him only to make Masai and the fans and the league happy but then took him out quick to put in **** players that will be cut like Cherry.

Hey, just rewatched 3rd period and what I saw! JV's Dirk style (just right not wrong leg) fideaway jumper at 7:48 in third!!! If he did it instead of pumpfakes he would be more gold worth! Pity was not able to make a gif from it :-?

And yes, Smart is damned good as it was already mentioned here.

I don't think they particularly hate Raptor fans. They probably would treat any other fanbase poorly. Knick fans tend to be rowdy and immature in general. From what I've seen through comments and media, they have the reputation of being the most obnoxious in the league.

In early regular season I doubt we will see Bruno but hope he gets lots of practice with the 3 point shot I see him as Steve Novak type specialist by midyear only difference is he can play a disruptive defense if not a good defense.
