Changing the colour scheme next season

Got to see the actual proposed uniform design a while ago. Simple, clean, not bad. The new logo is a ball with a claw mark ripping it on the side at about a 45 degree angle. Concept is good but I suspect most people won't like it if compared to our current claw.

Crimson red is an awesome colour to go with black and white. Looks great on TV too.

Was it the same font as "We The North"?

red/white is the not the worst, but its so bland. They basically took the flag colours and made a jersey with 0 imagination. And purple is still %100 associated with the raptors, so we wouldn't be changing to some new scheme, we would just be going back to the original scheme. Totally different.

Black and gold or purple would definitely be better than our current jerseys. People saying purple is kiddish really do have no fashion sense. That one guy saying who wears purple, are you serious? You can get so many nice purple dress shirts. I guess you must be one of those people who see pink and purple and say "eww gay". Even the logo can be updated and kept, its not that bad. Just need to make the logo simpler.

My opinion on this means little, but i always hated it how the Raptors moved away from the purple.

I've made it known on this board that Carter was my favourite player in the league early on, even though i was a Bulls fan, and purple is my favourite colour, so i have bias.

But, i always loved these.

..... I dont think they'll take away the current claw logo, it's too amazing and one of the best logo in sports

The way you guys describe the new design makes it sound generic as ****.

More importantly though, why hasn't anyone leaked the design? If three people from this thread have seen it, I'm sure dozens if not hundreds of other people have seen it as well. Surely someone took a picture or can at least reproduce it.

Not liking your description at all.

Though I can see the connection to a new logo from the 3D design in the intros this year cause they've had that 3 claw tear thing on it a few times.

The current claw works fine to go away from barney. Stick with that, use the claw tear (maybe on the letter) or for marketing and go back to the purple.

This fascination with gold makes little sense to me.

Yup.

I don't think we need a re-brand, just have the dino logo as the primary and the claw as the alternate. The home and alternate jerseys can stay the same, but replace the red away with the VC-era Purple & black "TORONTO" jerseys.

When i think about Raptors i think about purple. When they changed the colors to red it was still acceptable because we already had red color in our scheme. But black and gold? I don't really know.

This is how i think we should modernize our original uniform, and try to make them timeless.

Something like these jerseys would be nice. I love the purple red and black colour scheme.

Maybe add pinstripes and change the raptors font
