We don't want Lowry to become our Jose Bautista. At least the Jays only have him for 1 year.
That's why I don't understand what some people are worried about. We played our most effective and balanced basketball with Lowry on the shelf. Lowry had a good run here but he was overrated by many here. Whatever he brings his offence is mitigated by his horrible defending. For the most part he has been one of the worst defending PGs in the league but people had their head in the sand about it because they were in love with his offence.
This team is better off without him because now his terrible defence is starting to overshadow his offensive skills.
Baustia a beast in the playoffs haha but year I get what your saying. Personal attachment needs to leave when dealing out huge contracts

I'll always be mad at a loss.
I also don't live in Toronto so I know very few Raps fans so I get annoying flak because they lost.

I'm not mad
But I really don't want to lockup Lowry for 200 million so we're stuck with his contract
Kinda like bargnani era. It almost never ended

As for him being a regular season player. He has scored multiple 30 point games in the playoffs. While Lowry was crucial for us vs the Pacers, I would argue Lowry was the main reason we won vs Miami.
What series were you watching because it wasn't those 2, I'm sure of that.
I miss typed, VAL was crucial in the pacers series but Lowry was in the heat series.
I think you mistyped twice. Lowry was not crucial for us in the Heat series. It's only because he wasn't as bad as he was against Indiana that it seemed he was doing well. He was horrible for more than half the games and it only went 7 because of his lack of consistency.

Re: Why are you Mad?
I am mad because this is an ongoing trend, as a 3rd seed we cannot lose game 1 and get BLOWN OUT. Just yesterday there are threads saying what if we made it to the finals etc, I can't stand this inconsistency with this team, I just cant.
What also makes this worse is that everyone wrote the bucks off as if they are trash and looking forward to cleveland in the 2nd round, they are not trash and dont let the record fool you. They play well since the allstar break so our teams guard was down.

Lowry is not going to keep playing this poorly. Nor is JV.
The team just died after the half..Mnot sure what to say or how to defend it by Raptors in 7.

Re: Why are you Mad?
this concerns me because i thought with the addition of serge and PJ we'd look like a different team, especially since we're the worst playoff team ever in game 1. This alone should have sent a sense of urgency and being prideful to GET game 1.
Lowry has looked like ass since coming back minus the detroit game. Clearly rusty and not confident. We looked like the underdog the majority of the game and they looked like the 3rd seed despite having multiple rookies and players with no playoff exp. They punked us at home. Those are all reasons to be furious right now.

As fans we don't know what else is out there but the team seriously needs to look at all possible options

Lowry is 31 and has been underpaid for most of his career... He's gonna want to get PAID this is gonna be his last big
contract and he knows it.
I would argue Lowry almost cost us the Pacers series and Val saved us. I would also argue Biyombo was the difference
against the Heat.
I believe Lowry had the worst FG% in NBA playoff history at one point last year I'm not sure if that still stands but after
tonight he's probably near the bottom. Also his defense is a major concern at times.
His historically poor playoffs was a National story last year. Barkley and Shaq called him out all playoffs...
There was the famous shot of him shooting in the ACC at midnight...
And he got flamed for the Decompressing comment against the Cavs...
He did have a couple of big games notably game 7 against the Heat but he keeps on reverting to a player
that desperatley needs a sports psychologist.

I know. I feel a lot less confident we even win game 2 and if we don't then we're getting swept. With all due respect to Paul George, the Greek freak is on another level and he wasn't even at his best today.
The Greek is going to be ridiculous but PG was unreal last year.

Re: Why are you Mad?
I'm mad because this Bucks team isn't that good and Jason Kidd easily exposes Casey...
Yeah we always lose Game 1's but we were down like 20 in the 4th???? Not even a classic fake run?
To this team?
I'm also mad Lowry still plays awful even against a rookie and Delly it's humiliating

I'm mad because I hate Casey and I don't see any way out of our 3 point shooting situation in the next few years.

Re: Why are you Mad?
Deep down all of us know that this team is ridiculously unpredictable and will have to exert an incredible amount of effort to win these playoff games because our offensive systems sucks, our players are inconsistent, and because our coach is a dumbass. So it is quite frustrating that we can't have at least a 1 game cushion form the get go.

Re: Why are you Mad?
We've failed to advance past the first round in 2 of the last 3 years. Last year, we got to the ECF, but just barely (we needed two 7-game series against lesser opponents to do so). This team continues to disappear in the playoffs, and it's worrisome. You can't just give your opponents free wins. At some point we need to learn to step on the gas pedal and take control of a series. Relying on luck to get through (which is what game 7's are) is a stupid strategy.

Give him a chance the next few games. He hasn't even started rolling yet and they still blew out the Raps today. This guy will be the best player in the NBA by 2020.

I'm mad because I'm sick of the Raptors ruining the playoffs for me.
I just wanted to enjoy this long weekend. Win game 1 and watch all the other playoff games.
Now I won't be watching anything basketball related until tuesday while being miserable.

It's a overreaction for sure but the team won't **** the bed for an entire half again.
