Derozan would be the next piece on the move should we hire Bud. We'd need a good 2 guard that move well off the ball like Korver.

Reddick and Belinelli are two notable free agents. Seth Curry could flourish in that role. I'd rather we get a 2 way player though, maybe a Wes Matthews or Danny Green or Avery Bradley (a bit pricey though).

I'm all for this! Love to see the effect of a female coach in the NBA.

I know that I mostly can question what my dad tells me but I know when my mom tells me to do something, I better do it. Also her disappointment effects me much stronger degree. Seen that a lot over the years...haha

But seriously, no reason why she won't succeed as a head coach.

- The Cavs team that swept the Hakws >>>>>>>>>>> The Cavs team that swept us

- Milsap and Horford are high IQ bigs that made their offensive system really work but they weren't scorers. That team was greater than the sum of their parts. Furthermore, their bench was piss poor and didn't have the defensive versatility that we do.

- Korver broke his ankle or severely sprained it (can't remember the specifics) and Demarre had a leg injury that basically ended his season but he was stubborn and came back to play. He never looked the same. Cavs don't sweep them if that team is healthy.

That 2015 Cavs team didn't have Kevin Love thanks to Olynyk and Kyrie didn't play alot of minutes because of his knee

This team needs a coach who can adjust to the players - not the other way around. Why are we talking about Derozan fitting into a system? Get a coach who knows how to utilize player strengths or don't waste money on a coach at all...

A lot of these plays the ball never touches the ground...really impressive passing, off ball movement and use of screens but you definitely need the personnel to run this type of offense

Or we can promote Powell to starting SG and see what we have in him since no one is giving up anything of value for him anyway and he's under contract for the next 3 to 4 years. I think there's a good chance Coach Bud can revive NormGod.

Yea, if he can prove to be consistent with his shot.

Here's the quote from the article and it's not Woj saying it:

"Former Atlanta Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer is expected to get a close inspection for the Raptors opening, league sources said. Budenholzer met with Milwaukee on Tuesday, league sources said.

Toronto will also consider assistant Nick Nurse and G League coach Jerry Stackhouse, league sources said."

What do you think that means? If that doesn't tell you Mike is the frontrunner i dunno what to say. Maybe they have a secret coaching phenom up their sleeve. doubt it.

It tells me you have a comprehension problem. Like I said, WOJ didn't say it.

You realize that Woj ALWAYS quotes league sources whenever he brings up something, right? He ALWAYS ends his sentences with “league sources say.” In basketball circles Woj bringing something up that league sources said is akin to Woj saying it so you’re making a fuzz over essentially nothing here.

Kenny Atkinson who was under his tutelage implemented this system in BKN, and they have a beautifully run offense with tons of spacing/shooting/penetrating. They just don't have the talent to make up the deficiency but you can see the offensive foundation is there. Once they develop a bit better and get some more talent they could be scary.

Carroll hit a lot of 3's for them this year, career high 2 3's a game. They turned Spencer Dinwiddie into a really good player. It's pretty much exactly the same system as the Hawks.

Its going to be him. The guy is very solid x's and o's. The team is ready for that. This is the best team that is going to come knocking for him. I think this will happen and soon.

Guys like JV and Bebe will likely be used far more.

Either Ibaka or Val will get traded. Val will most likely be the easier guy to trade.

Someone like Marc Gasol would be lethal in Mike's system

I thought JV's defensive IQ looked really improved this year. He was a massive problem in years past, but overall his defensive help rotations were way more on point than year's past.. he looked a bit more slimmed and well conditioned to be slightly more mobile. You could see it against the Cavs too, he was running at shooters and closing off gaps..

He's a fairly high IQ guy on offense, but he's mechanical with his movements, that's always been his biggest shortcoming as far as developing a bonafide offensive game.

What I like about Bud is that he knows how to run an actual offense. Look at the ball movement he preaches, incredible.

Really? The Hawks have been a bottom-5 offense for three years in a row.
