Demar quietly had a pretty good playoffs this year. Not monstrous but you can say he definitely matched his regular season production.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

It shows that he was actually genuinely upset about the trade and genuinely didn't want to leave.

Now compare that with Casey. That man has been a petulant man-child. And it's more and more evident that it's bc of his ego rather than being forced out the city.

Or Bosh, making stuff up and snickering about it.

Or T-Mac, being two-faced about his time here, depending on who is interviewing him.

i agree Casey was petty, but what if you were fired after winning coach of the year and the guy who replaces you was your underling for many years prior? There has to be some animosity there.

When Casey watches the raptors now he must think "damn that **** nurse is there right now because I gave him the chance in the first place"

I honestly don't know how Casey was surprised at his firing. The team got swept in back to back years by Cleveland, even after they lost Kyrie. That is completely unacceptable.

After years of making the playoffs as often as we have, the regular season means nothing. Casey needs to accept this and move on.

Makes me think he'd have no problem returning to the Raptors at some point, should the opportunity arise.

It was the right trade to make, now enjoy the ride. If he wants them back, he can sign them in a few weeks (he won't).

We would be in ECF cause Kawhi is nuts, not like JV wouldnt add rebounding and points.

If we had DeMar with this roster that would be so beautiful.

You wouldn’t be salty if your talent level was flawed then you got the boot to be replaced by your underling. As soon as you get fired, they bring in the best player in franchise history. I’d be a little upset

Casey watching the playoffs hoping nick nurse fails.

Don’t miss Demar the player, but I do miss Demar the person. He’s a really good dude who outside his play is incredibly easy to root for.

I wouldn’t mind a Demar reunion one day.

I can see him coming back to Toronto in his twilight year to retired as a Raptors; and we retire his jersey.

Now imagine having DeMar off the bench against Philly & Milwaukee.

Demar's mid-range only game is about as timeless as that durag.

With all the money coming off the books next year, I would love to see him come home. He’d be a fantastic secondary option to Kawhi.

Lowry
Demar
Kawhi
Siakam

Make it happen (I’d love JV back as the bench 5 too).

Return to Toronto Raptors
