No that theory got debunked once one user mentioned they are flying to SAN not LA. This flight is Kawhi related nobody knows in what way though.

He's making a point though. They are moving much faster on the way down then it took them on the way up here. Any bit of weight makes a difference and passenger comfort is a huge part of how they fly.

That speed could make for a possibly a very bumpy ride for passengers, there's no reason go fast if you're looking for a comfortable flight.

Also, I don't know **** bout airplanes, in fact I'm terrified of them, but this is my interpretation of speed and it's effects.
