McCaw is not an effective ball handler. He loses it too often at important times in the game. Today, I could not for the life of me understand why Nurse had him in at the end of the game instead of Powell, who had been playing amazing. Nurse clearly has a thing for him, but for me, more often than not I find myself wondering, "why is he playing the point?" The man loses it too often. He is average at best - and relative to Powell, there should be no confusion who should be playing late in the game.

Nurse evidently came to his senses and put Powell back in with 3 minutes left in the game, but why he wasn't in there before, or why he was taken out at 6 minutes while McCaw was kept in, had me scratching my head and following the turnovers McCaw made, gnashing my teeth. This is someone I don't particularly think deserves much time in the rotation - certainly not with Van Vleet when he comes back. In terms of the depth chart at the guard position, you got (after Lowry/Van Vleet) Powell, and then I'd put Davis II, then Thomas, and then McCaw.

I’m sorry MCCaw is on the team. There’s my apology.

McCaw again quiets the haters - this time with ratios of 2 to 1 steals to turnovers and 5 to 1 assists to turnovers, leading our team to victory. Oh and he was perfect from the free throw line. Still don't understand why he only got 25 minutes.

So that massive turnover late in the game and his unconfident ball handling which helped Oklahoma city nearly come back wasn't a problem? He was also -5 in efficiency. How on earth could you say he "led the team to victory" when at least 8 other players had a more significant outing than he did?

You do realize that when Van Vleet returns this guy is going to get almost no run, right? Davis and Thomas are better fitted to the Raptors needs then McCaw is.

If McCaw survives the trade deadline, can we send him down to the 905?

Patrick, I am so sorry that Nurse gives you so many minutes. You often start the game and look rather competent for 6 to 8 minutes. That should be your George Costanza moment. Leave on a high note and tell coach you tweaked your ankle.

Double edged sword for McCaw, his coach likes him but overplaying him is causing fans to turn on him. I think he’s a solid depth piece to have at the end of the bench but he should not be playing 15-20+ minutes with all of these bodies back in the lineup.

Really should have TD2 played the 4th quarter instead of McCaw.

Really don't know what Nick is thinking. He did this to Fred in the 76er's series when Fred was unplayable. But he recovered big time in the Buck series. Fred's got shooting and skills. I can't say that for McCaw. What is Nurse hoping McCaw would do?????

TD gets tough love from Nurse while Mccaw gets babied

McCaw is getting the all-star treatment from Nurse.
TD2 got some quick fouls, but he was aggressive offensively. He should have stayed on instead of McCaw.

While I agree that we are better off giving those minutes to someone else, I kinda feel bad for the guy.

You can just tell by his body language and facial expressions that he hears the negativity.

The opposite is happening. It's really bad. I mean that, this scrub is one of the worst players I have ever seen in my life at the NBA level. To be watching this guy 25mins a night alone is shocking. The fact that he isn't called out more by the media, more shocking. He is like a scrawny high school kid out there that nobody bothers to cover because, well, he is a non factor.
