Bosh was great player for the Raps, its unfortunate this team wasted his best years by having incompetent GM BC who refused to trade Bargnani who played same position as Bosh for true center or at another All star.

I think his career being cut short due to a health ailment makes the emotional case over the bitterness in which he left the Raptors.

Also he's making the HoF in large part due to what he did while as a Raptor, the Heat ring was the cherry on the cake but his big career numbers and accolades cames as a Raptor.

He did f*ck all on the Raptors. Im sorry his career got cut short while on the Heat but that has nothing to do with this organization.

What has he done as a Raptor exactly that warrants his jersey retiring? That distinguishes him over his Raptors peers?

It sounds like the only argument ever made for hanging a jersey is sentiment. Its that way with Vince as well.

Lowry is the bar as a Raptor. I dont care what you've done on other teams, what have you done wearing the purple & black (or red & white/black)?

Dude bolted at 25 years old, I love how people make it seem like we wasted his career.

He didn't leave at 31 to join a contender, he bolted early. He told us we going to entertain offers from us....he didn't. He screwed us. He lied.

Then he went on US media and slagged us after he left. WTF should we reward that?

His Heat rings were far more than the "cherry on the cake." His stats here weren't particularly outstanding; other than rebounds, he holds no other Raptors all-time record. Without those rings, he's no better than LaMarcus Aldridge or Blake Griffin, neither of whom are HOF worthy.

As for retiring his Jersey, I vote no. As previously said, he left on not-so-good terms and then threw tons of shade at Toronto after he left (e.g., no ESPN, border crossing hassles, etc.). After his HOF selection, he tweeted to thank everyone with a montage showing highlights of himself that included nothing from Toronto.

We thank him for his services but he has not earned to have his Raptors Jersey retired.

He was a free agent and was capable of making his own decision. He ended up winning 2 rings, going to 4 Finals and played with the greatest player of this generation. He also met his wife in Miami and has a wonderful home and family. I think he is sleeping just fine at night.

The "thrashing" he gave Toronto after he left was so tepid. Now that he is retired he has had a chance to reflect on his career and it's clear he has been trying to clear the air with Toronto and any bad blood that may exist. Why not be the bigger person rather than tell him off with such vulgarity? He ended up making the right choice.

Bosh was a Big Dawg here because of circumstance and poor roster construction, just like DD

Lebron, Wade and a well rounded high level talent roster im Miami got him the titles.

As far as Toronto goes I dont see anything significant he did here for us, we did him all the favors giving him the huge role & also Colangelo creating the super team possibility in Miami (Ya most forget that part)

If the bar is set at the sure number of things you say about Toronto, yes, I guess the thrashing being called tepid would be a good word for the comparison.

"Why not be the bigger person?" Guy, ... after a staggering amount of negativity from you over the year, and then you come out with this beauty of irony (or hypocrisy, you choose) that's just **** funny!

Meh, I don't mind him as a player or person, but also don't care whether or not he's celebrated here. He's basically the Howie to our backstreet boys

To be fair he did help the team win 3 playoff games in 7 years as a Raptor. A playoff high of winning 12% of the games needed to win a championship in a playoff has got to count for something.

When was there ever an obligation for a fan to be empathetic towards a player leaving their team? People have the right to cheer for whoever the fck they want, let along a player that left their team for their own selfish motives. Why the fck should people care?

I had a feeling Bosh would still be surfing Real GM, even after all this time.
Coming on RealGm reminds me how much I hate our **** up annoying tweener "the sky falls everyday in Raptorland" fanbase.
