How should the team move forward this season?

Or maybe they can sign great free agents like Otto Porter, Khem Birch, Juancho Hernangomez, Demarre Carroll, Aron Baynes, Freddie Gillespie.

Makes sense since you think Scotties Barnes is trash so who needs players like him from the draft lottery.
Do you do anything other than literally lie on people here and talk in hyperbole?

The scary part is those players would be upgrades over most of their top 5 picks of the past 20 years. LOL. They hit on Lamelo though. Good for them but imagine if the Warriors drafted Lamelo? Hornets would've been left with Wiseman.

I'm looking forward to the trade deadline. There is so much parity in the league right now that it's going to be interesting to see which teams are buyers and which are sellers. We are just a few games back of the 6th place Knicks but just a few games back of being in the bottom 5.

Just so we're all on the same page here: you're contending that Adam Morrison was less of a bust because he found himself on a roster that happened to win the title. Because if that's not your position, why did you bring up that he was a role player on a championship team in a post that was clearly trying to defend the Hornets terrible draft record?

I said he was a bust in the original post. Still had a decent career.

160 career games
7.5/2.1/1.4 averages
44.8TS% in his career

In what **** world is this a decent career. It is a HORRID career.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

If Morrison had a decent career then we are setting the bar extremely low.

Watched a couple Alabama games to get a good look at Brandon Miller. Came away thinking that Noah Clowney is the ultimate Raptors prospect. I suspect even if the Raps decide to win games they are keying in on Clowney.

The funniest thing is you STILL complaining about players (outside DMC) who were all MLE or less, and even a couple on literally minimum contracts.

Reality is most teams do not sign quality free agents - it is the nature of free agency (their original team does not want them for a reason).

Yeah, we're not catching them. These recent wins for the Raps really hurt the tank.

So you're saying Masai is as good as the GM's Charlotte has had? I guess you're calling Masai dumb and not capable of drafting.

OKC Top 5 Picks.

Harden
KD
Westbrook
Chet

You can pick and choose examples to pursue your weak narrative. At the end of the day the fact is the higher the pick the better your odds, if you think Masai is a dumb GM, well you're entitled to that opinion.

Interesting. I thought the goal of tanking was championships. Maybe OKC gets partial credit for watching KD win a couple championships with Golden State? "Here, we trained him up for you. He's ready to go now! Enjoy!!"

This is being disingenuous and you know it. If OKC owner wasn't being cheap, Presti would have kept Harden, and that KD/WB/Harden/Ibaka core would have won a championship sooner or later. There is no guarantee in life, but that is about as good a bet to championship year in and out for a window of 3-4 years as one can get.

So rather than give a *real* counter example to my "weak narrative", your narrative is from ImagineLand, in which OKC finds the magical elixir to solve their massive ego/chemistry/immaturity problems to go along with their massive luxury tax problems and magically becomes better than the Heat/Spurs/Warriors championship teams (that actually existed!).

Hey, how much of a guarantee in life is a team that has KD, Harden, and Irving? Do they win titles in ImagineLand too?

Not a bad list tbh. They have a franchise guy in Ball and almost everyone else on that list had longterm NBA careers. Not sure what point youre trying to make here.

Siakam + OG + FVV have a better career VORP than all six of those guys combined.

The only reason Presti was allowed to tank for so long was because of said cheap owner. So step one is to have a dirtbag owner that endorses your plan as a means to steal a team from one of the best markets in the NBA. Step 2 is to somehow strike oil and draft 3 HOFers in three drafts. Step 3 is to pray dirtbag owner will somehow become another person and stop being cheap. Sounds like a plan.

That stat is telling you they suck with this advantage. Anyway, when you get to talking about fake wins and real losses I think you just can't enjoy the team anymore. Good teams win, bad teams lose. It's that simple.
