I wouldn't say he's mediocre. He's one of the best volume 3PT shooters in the league and a decent defender. Those types of players are valuable because they're portable. He also is limited just enough that no one will throw a bag at him this summer. I would want more, too, but the picks give you upside.
He looked below mediocre last night.

Don’t count out Portland. They have the assets to get it done and have the need

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

I mean in theory when Barnes is in year 4 or 5, Pascal would be a great complimentary piece at the age of 31, assuming Scottie becomes that great. Maybe the idea is to build around Pascal and Barnes, with shooting, defense and a good bench surrounding them + this years draft pick being the next piece.

Thats absolutely not what it came down to.720 wrote:I’m gonna miss him man. Can’t believe we chose Mr.39 percent from field and 34 percent from three Vanvleet over him because that’s essentially what this came down to. Him wanting a bigger role, us prioritizing getting our “point guard” shots, giving him a bigger role. All for what? So he could let us down in the bubble, Tampa Season, and then last year’s collapse vs Philly? It’s a joke.

Cam is shooting 44% from 3 and shot 42% last year, OG has never shot over 40% in his career and has shot 36% for the past two seasons. Yes, OG is an elite defender but Cam is solid on that end too.
+ those two first round picks will be way out which could end up being really good down the road.
I really like Cam, there are a few things though that kind of make me hesitant. First, his long term health/durability.
Have you looked at OG’s long term health/durability?

CP3 will inflate OG's stats. Can't forget how CP gets guys raises.

Yeah true and tbh I’m more inclined to think that’s the route we go with regards to surrounding these two. But that would mean being “buyers” perhaps.
