Hendricks and Wallace would be ill. Both would improve our shooting without hurting our defense.

Rupert is receiving great reviews from all the draft blogs. Below is quote from no ceilings latest blog post.

Rayan Rupert is a dude. The 6’7” wing with a 7’3” wingspan has been a defensive force in Australia’s NBL. He covers ground exceptionally well off the ball, and on it, his length and footspeed make him a nightmare to get around. While his three-point percentage on the year is a scary 25% on the year, the advanced numbers give some room for optimism. Rupert’s a bad off-the-dribble scorer right now, point-blank. Per Synergy, he has a 29.5% EFG on such shots. Too often, he goes up with little balance, his base drifting out from under him. The good news is that he’s 36.7% on catch-and-shoot threes. On those shots, his body mechanics are far more cohesive. Given how good he is defensively, he should still manage to be a valuable player if he can just be a reliable catch-and-shoot target. That’s before we even get into his handle, decision-making, etc. If anyone wants to sell their Rupert stock, I’ll take it

He looks like a lock to be of interest to Toronto. Good defensive IQ - super long and performing well in a tough NBL league.

Problem is only how Toronto views the draft. They may want to get a more finished product to slot into the rotation now rather than Rupert who will take a while.

My pick for immediate returns would be Cam Whitmore. I just see an obvious NBA player watching his game. His jumper looks more advanced, as is the shot separation skill, he loves physicality and he has that OG-like body type being already 230 lbs and 6'7. He might end up inside the top ten, but he's the guy I'd love for Toronto.

Got to take someone with natural offensive talent at some point.

Masai must get a thrill drafting out of the lottery.

Currently #3 on the Tankathon mock draft. He may fall to us  Oh ... wait.

Masai wouldn’t take him in the 2nd round if this case is hanging over his head

Unfortunate news about Miller. Don't know exact context but got to assume its going to raise character questions.

I don't know about sinking. Ja Morant just got a shoe deal and Ja Morant is kind of gangstaish... He's good enough that it won't matter. He probably had no idea it was going to be used in a murder anyway. Everybody in America has a gun or it seems like it.

I guess you can't say he bodied someone because you know... uncomfortable..

This quote from his coach is something:

Alabama coach Nate Oats said Tuesday that Miller is “not in any trouble” as a result of his alleged involvement.

“We knew about that. Can’t control everything everybody does outside of practice. Nobody knew that was going to happen. College kids are out, Brandon hasn’t been in any type of trouble nor is he in any type of trouble in this case. Wrong spot at the wrong time,” Oats said.

He is an 18 year-old kid handing out his own weapon which immediately led to murder. Amazing that coach and team just throws their hands up and says he was just in the wrong place.

Not familiar with this guy, but he has a good stroke. After Jalen Williams last year, no way anyone is overlooking Santa Clara.

Ballsy quote by his coach. The Police and DA will determine not his coach.

I know what you mean but the culture around this is different. It as if you give your car to a friend and your friend purposefully runs over someone. You having a car is not illegal. You giving it to your friend is not illegal. Your friend running over someone is illegal but are you accountable for your friend? In the U.S. owing a gun is like owning a car. 40% of American's admit to owning a gun in their household meaning it's probably closer to 50. Your point of view says what happened was wrong. Their POV in a conservative gun loving state like Alabama is nothing's wrong here, just using a friend's gun.

Anyway we don't have the full story and it sucks when threads get all political. Let's keep it at prospects discussion and what they do on the court until we learn more at least.

For instance how has Sidy Cissoko been doing? It sounds like Bilal has passed him.

I know the culture in the states, I've lived in florida for 5 years. And I get the coach trying to support his player. But in the end, obviously the Police and DA will determine the case, not his coach. More details will have to come about. Just not good all around.
