lol FOH. If I'm the Blazers I demand Bam at minimum. If the Heat get away with giving a poo-poo platter for Dame, that's garbage.

they'll get away with it....this is another Beal/Suns trade situation. Lillard only has Heat on his list.

Beal had a no trade clause. Lillard does not.

I imagine both sides will try to do right by each other though

What kind of team would Pat Riley be able to build if he was in Milwaukee or Minnesota? Genuine question.

This is not kawhi

Dame and pascal is not getting us thru Boston or Milwaukee imo

I mean I guess it also depends how else you add to the team. Idk man tough decision

Altho wouldn’t be surprised to see Masai make a move like this after getting dicked down by Freddy lol

The league needs to be investigated if the Heat give poo poo platter for Dame. Popular destinations like the LA, Miami, Boston, have way too much of an advantage than the other franchises. Silver should veto the trade just like how Stern vetoed the Paul to the Lakers.

Dame only makes sense if we're getting him for dirt cheap like the Heat can.....Heat are always on these disgruntled allstar/superstar player's lists, every season it seems like.... Raptors have never been.

Stop posting stupid nonsense... he is going to a serious contender (in the US) not Canada. Superstars call their destinations now... usually sunny us venues or sometimes NYC... no where else... what we offer is irrelevant.

It's more to do with Damian Lillard. And you are out of your god damn mind for severely overrating Damian Lillard for your own personal agenda.

How is Lillard being overrated? The guy is still one of the most prolific scorers in the league coming off a season where he averaged 32/5/7 on 65 TS% which included 15 games of 40+ points (more than 1/4 of his GP) and one where he dropped 71 despite not having another all-star beside him.

There just isn't many ways we could realistically get him unless we somehow get a S&T/large TPE out of the FVV signing. Scottie + OG + filler (Thad/Boucher) + a few picks would probably get it done, but that leaves a pretty big hole on the wings.

Agreed though it probably wouldn't happen.

If They want Siakam id do it straight up. Lillard won a lot of games in the west with not a lot of talent, hes no slouch.

Well at minimum, what would we have to give up? Dame's salary means we need to send out a lot. The only players of interest we have are Barnes, OG, Siakam, and Dick. If I'm the Blazers, Barnes and OG isn't enough. It would need to be Barnes and Siakam, and at that point, why bother if we have nothing around Dame?

Let's be clear. Dame is light years above Scottie, but it's about the team we can surround him with after gutting our team to acquire him.

It’s pretty easy, really:

Barnes, Porter, Thad, Boucher, and Flynn works financially and doesn’t set them back at all from a salary standpoint.

Lillard is a loyal dude - if you can convince him to join, he’s going to stick it out and this roster (with a few vet Min guys) is a contender in the East:
Lillard / GTJ / OG / Siakam / Poeltl
Schroder / Dick / Achuiwa / Koloko

Plus min guys to fill in the gaps. The question is just whether or not we would or should give up Barnes (we won’t) but I definitely think that’s a contending roster for a year or two at least.

This is what, the 6th straight star to dictate his exact location? We all know Harden is going to the LAC also.

It's absolute horse ****.

How does Dame not make this request in private either? His loyalty **** has been reduced to nothing if they don't get a haul for him.

sure there's no trade clause but the Blazers don't want to have an ugly breakup with Dame

maybe Dame adds Clippers/Sixers on his list and makes it easier for them....but for now only Heat are on the list.

We have a better package then Miami and would more br competitive then Brooklyn. I understand he prefered destination but he doesn't have trade clauses and he screwed them by waiting till the grant deal and after the draft.

I mean, if you're going to give somebody 40M+ they should at least give you 30ppg.

To me, Lillard seems like exactly what this team needs.
