Jrue is a world class vet PG that we should certainly bring into the organization if we don't have to give up any rebuilding pieces. I would imagine that is what Portland is after however. He is also a good mentor for scoot otherwise.

Was that really the best offer on the table for the Blazers? Forget the Suns part, I think Nurkic for Ayton was there no matter who the third team was.

Was Dick not on the table?

We could/should have beaten that offer. But who knows what went on behind the scenes.

Im just ready for the Woj/Shams articles detailing how the process went. Think Shams will give info on his Toronto tweet.

Ayton gets dumpstered on a lot but he's better/younger player than OG and OG will end up being paid more.

here's a wierd truth.

comparing Herro to OG regular season wise, Herro looks better offensively.

now go look at the post season numbers....yeah

Ayton at least will be asked to do what he normally does, which is fine for the 3rd/4th cornerstone player tbh. And of course, Portland desperately needs size.

Had to quote you here from the other thread.

Not sure why anyone’s celebrating the Bucks making the deal, they’ll probably run the East for several years from this. I hate Riley too but the Heat have won fewer titles in the past 10 years and their stars are ancient.

i think this has more to do with portland obliging dame and sending him somewhere he's ok going to.

all the news about him not wanting to come here was probably legit.

There will be some quick pivots to "Dame isn't really a #1 anyway". Within the hour we see 1-2 of these from posters that were ready to dump Barnes for him.....

You do "what if"s coping for superstars like Durant during last year's trade fever, not for this generation's 33 yo Ray Allen.

Anyone know who Shams had going out in his Toronto tweet?

I can't imagine OG was being offered if they settled for Jrue and a pick. That's nuts.

My guess is Boston. They’ll offer up Williams Brogdan and picks.

Bulls are my pick. They have a desperate need and Jrue slots well with DDR and Lavine.

This front office will be dumpster diving like usual. C'mon.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Thank **** god, what a short sighted BC-esque move that would have been.

Trade the farm for an aging, injury prone guard in a terrible win now move with whatever skeleton of a team we would have had.

for the next few years it's pointless to trade assets for Jrue.

Raps really need to fully embrace rebuilding at this point

Actually, Rue is not as bad as that, he plays way better D than Lillard for one. I'd be looking at a deal for him.

For what purpose? Go for another 7-10th seed? Just end the misery and hit the reset button, FO needs to face the music.

And then there's also this, which makes this already short sighted wish, even more short sighted
https://www.si.com/nba/bucks/news/jrue-holiday-says-hes-keen-on-retiring-after-his-current-deal-expires

Jrue Holiday says he's keen on retiring after his current deal expires

“It’s funny cause my wife and I had this conversation; I think it was two days ago. She was like, ‘Are you serious after this contract? Are you serious about retiring?’ I’m like, 'Yes, I feel very strongly about it,'”

Jrue will be a Celtic. I don’t think Cronin got a good trade but he’s started an arms race here.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

y'all need to relax. Just some stupid petulant whining here. I'm not super FO defender and I was hoping for a Dame deal too but what do you want them to do here? The PDX FO found a better deal.

Did anyone happen to catch what the 4 team trade that would have landed us Lillard included?

weird, I'm both disappointed and not disappointed at the same time. I was fence sitting on this move because I genuinely really didn't know which way to go.

What farm? We’re probably giving up our pick next year, Gradey is a not an amazing prospect, and OG’s offensive game is horrible.
