I haven't seen the updates in person, but I can only hope they are nice enough to distract from the unwatchable mess they are fielding (again).

The stadium was over 30 years old. Any renovation would have been nice. I refuse to give him any props, especially with him having turned the actual team into a dumpster fire.

I honestly wouldn't be shocked if Ed brought Colangelo back to run the Raptors.

We'll have to see. Masai has one more year left on his contract and Rogers has the right to buy out Tannenbaum next year. At that point, they'll merge the Jays into MLSE and Ed Rogers gets to have his sports empire. If past is prologue, he will install his own (underwhelming) yes-men at the top and try to cover for his and the leadership's incompetence by throwing money at it. The Raptors will be a distant third priority after the Leafs and Jays so not even sure how much benefit we'll get from his willingness to spend - his only redeeming quality as an owner.

This could be a blessing in disguise so long as they hired someone that cared about winning and not just a yes man, they could basically be left to their own devices since Ed thinks the leafs are a more valuable product.

They should have let him do what needed to be done. The infrastructure he set up with the Raptors and TFC resulted in championships, but they never fully gave him control of the Leafs. With MLSE back in control, TFC is once again a mess. And once they push Masai out, the Raptors will revert back to the sad days. Oddly enough, some here are begging for this scenario.

I really hope Larry finds a way to take the Raptors with him next year.
