I don’t think people realize how much of a boost Bane is. Orlando was virtually last in all shooting metrics, Suggs and Paolo both missed 40+ games their best bench player missed 40+ games and they still won 41 games.

They’re absolutely a top 3 seed in the east and are legit threats to make the ECF in my opinion.

What’s a fair price tag? I don’t think the Grizzlies were moving Bane for anything less than 2 firsts. Not all firsts are created equal and not all teams trades can be evaluated the same way because the rest of your team and how good you are matters

Good fit for Orlando but I feel like the 2026 PHX should not have been included. Thats going to be a top 10 pick next year which on its own would be worth bane let alone adding 3 more picks

Yeah i think Ingram came cheaper because he has a really bad history with Injuries....Like his last 4 years he has 55,45,64,18 games played....Ingram most likely misses 20-25 games in a season....Hope we can keep him healthy though...

Meh, he's an average defender at best. I wouldn't really classify him as a 3&D guy. I've watched a lot of Bane and he struggles to guard forwards. Also doesn't have the lateral quicks to keep up with some guards. He's kind of similar to FVV.

Although I agree he will help the Magic, it's a massive overpay. "Slightly" is an understatement.

A GM gets an overpay when he's proactive. A GM gets mediocre return when he gets backed into a corner.

Bane was traded for a few reasons. A key one is he overestimated his scoring ability which hurts the team. Needs to be more off ball.

Rudy Gobert was a much bigger upgrade and a significantly better player at the time.
And also Wolves have a borderline superstar in Anthony Edwards. Orlando doesn't have a player of that calibre, not even close.

Bane is easily worth 3 FRPs so by slight is adding 1 more pick and a swap....Makes it a slight overpay....They didn't give up much players in the deal that hold crazy value ....

Bane is more than a 3&D....Hes not a bad defender at all lol....And he also does more for you on the offensive end than a OG would for example....He can create his own shot and for others......He will deff help the Magic out alot as a team....I think Bane was a big reason the Grizzlies teams were as good as they were....Without him i think they have a fall off...

But yes ofc the price was steep but Bane as a player they will get alot out of him and will at least be a top seeded team in the East for a while now....Finals type team though hard to say...
