Nice joke kid HAHAHA needed a good laugh
Why do you think he sucks?
Never said he sucks but top 3 player in the draft? come on dude. Some tweener guy who's not super big or athletic and can't shoot.. How is that a top 3 player in a good draft?? That would mean the draft wasn't so good.

Whats so funny
Do you really think this guy has a chance to be better than Cooper, Harper and VJ?? He'll be lucky to be top 10 in the draft. He was bullying a lot in college and in the NBA he won't be able to pull off the stuff he did in college PLUS he can't shoot.. He's far from decent let along TOP 3!!! come on kid.

I thought the Raptors were lucky that Coward was still on the board and instead decided to go with CMB. It's late October and I still can't make sense of it - especially when you consider that we already have two guys on the team of similar physical profile, skillset, strengths and weaknesses. It gets even more confusing when you consider roster, play style and fit.
I don't hate CMB but this pick was one of the most confusing made in recent memory, along with Mogbo who we took when Mitchell was still on the board. At best, you have another Barnes (working with/around one of them is hard enough) and at worst you have bench big when you could have gotten a Bridges type starting SG, allowing you to consolidate Barrett and at least one of Dick, Agbaji or Walter into something else and cutting a ton of money off the payroll as well.
I felt like Mitchell and Coward were no brainers but hey, what do I know?
Coward was my pick too and he’s looking good. We’ll see though, it’s 3 games and we’d better hope one of Gradey or Walter’s pans out here.
We needed a wing like Coward or Carter Bryant but instead we got more of what we already have and it aint great... Gradey is already done in my eyes. Whatever he does on offense he gives up on defense.. A literal Pylon out there. Walter is good but somehow in Darko's Doghouse....

Re: CMB or someone else?
I havn't seen much from Bryant to say we missed out on that one....CMB prolly is the better player in the long run....But Cedric Coward looks like the guy we missed out on so far....The way he moves and shoots hes always calm and under control sim to Kawhi who always plays under control...
VJ Edgecomb might be the best player from the class though.

I would mostly agree. I don't think Dick is a useless NBA player but it's going to be hard to give a guy like that significant minutes when his defense is so poor - especially when the roster as a whole isn't great on defense either.
My gripe with the latest draft picks (except Walter) is they tend to pick specialists and then hope that they'll develop parts of their game that they've NEVER shown. Dick is a good example. He's never been a defender but they're hoping he'll develop in that area. Mogbo's never been a great shooter but they hope he can develop in that area. Same thing with CMB.
Is it possible for guys to grow and develop aspects of their game? Of course. Do guys usually become apt or even great in areas they've never showed any promise in? Almost never. So when faced with a project player like that or a guy who shows far more two way upside, I'm going with the two way upside guy. What we're seeing is a team filled with guys that can only succeed in certain situations and those conditions won't always be available.
That's my draft philosophy anyways

Re: CMB or someone else?
Time to unleash him. Yak is not ready to play time to start him at C. We’re in a real talent deficit right now and need his intangibles.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars
Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid
There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Re: CMB or someone else?
I would give Poeltl time off and start CMB. Let's get a glimpse into the future and see what we got.
CMB, Barnes, Ingram, RJ, and IQ. I think this should work when the other team doesn't have huge 5s. CMB is showing he can shoot too so going small against huge Cs might even have it's advantages.

It won’t change anything because it’s still IQ, Barrett, and Ingram guarding the other team’s best perimeter players at the point of attack. No way to be a good defensive team with 3/5ths of starters being that bad defensively.

Yeah it'll be interesting to see what develops there but they are stars that can figure it out. Poeltl just looks injured we have no rim defense. CMB will put up a better fight there and at least stone wall drivers. I think long term we should probably use CMB and Barnes as a 3/4 and have a rim protecting C that can either stretch the floor or protect the rim at an all first team defense level.

EDGECOMBE is special.
He was also high on my list. I expect him to be at worst the 3rd best player from this draft

I too would like a C that is a first team all league defender that can also hit 3's.
