Pistons need to trade for Markkanen.
Jaden Ivey, Tobias Harris, Duncan Robinson and 4 1st picks for Markkanen and Jordan Clarkson.

Clarkson is in NY FYI. 4 picks for Lauri is something you really gotta think about, that might be Bane2.0 - but he definitely fits and is needed in Det, Cade Lauri n Duran is cool

I'm convinced all these soft tissue injuries are because of whatever synthetic additives/supplements these guys are taking

What happened to the Former Raptors thread? Anyways, TJ Ford speaks out about his time in Toronto. Said it was the best place he played in. But also revealed that his Contract had a injury clause in case he got paralyzed/stinger again. So BC and TJ's Agent knew about his risks and put that in there.

Good question. Very poor decision to unsticky it.
Anyway, Raps are rolling and no one is thinking about Davion Mitchell. But I just watched him vs NYK in back to back games, he's playing very well. I guess he and Shead were redundant but any team could use Davion. Spo does have a way of getting the most out of players. Norm's playing very well too, Clippers may regret not keeping him.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Biggest thing here is also that you can see he liked playing with Calderon while the board tried to make them into enemies

Giannis likely to miss some extensive time with that groin injury.

You have to at least get Ausar Thompson if you're the Jazz.

Knicks should do everything they can to convert Towns into AD. If they somehow manage to do that....they could win the chip.
Not Impossible. AD's stock has never been this low.

There has to be an explanation. And it's turning into an existential question for the league. It's by far the biggest threat to the success of the league.
Paul Pierce and KG both agreed that it's the absence of scrimmaging. Another reasonable theory is that the 3 point shooting has changed the sport so that there is far more sprinting and ground covered per game. It sounds plausible to suggest that men at this size cannot run like this without regular injuries.

It's never been like this before.
I wonder if eliminating the corner 3 might solve this problem too. As soon as you stop offenses from spreading the floor...the boring as heck "5 out" celtics offense....there will be alot more bunching up like the old days. Less running. More halfcourt stagnation.

Crazy how different the OG trade looks when we are trying to win. Both IQ and RJ have been great this year.

Re: Official NBA General Discussion 2025-26 V2.0
Adding BI has made the other 4 starters more efficient which was the goal.
I expected them all to have a dip in overall pts/game and so far, 3 have and Barnes is 0.1 different. I said in the offseason, if the team is winning, who cares what the counting stars are(within reason...lol).
BI just makes life easier being a natural shooter....even if his 3 has struggled.
Best thing is, no one is doing anything that isn't sustainable. The only one is Barnes and his 3(40%)...but his eventual drop should be offset and more by BI's increase(23%).
Just nice to finally have more talent on the roster, even with their individual flaws and no "superstar". It's something to build on for sure.
Even the bench, yeah Mamu/Shead have played great but Ochai and Walter awful. So some leveling out should occur between those 4 to a degree. But maybe it's only Walter/Ochai who get better and Shead/Mamu maintain things. Dick had been better than last year despite the drop in pts due to usage. Mostly because he has gotten better at D and quite frankly l, he is winning his minutes. Battle, poor Battle. Dude is shooting 73% from 3 and single handedly won us a game, yet can't get playing time over struggling Walter. Don't understand it.
A win vs Philly would be huge to keep this winning going and not lose to them both times we faced them.
Certainly have exceeded peoples early season predictions.

I'm personally convinced that it's the pace of play. Teams are playing way faster than they used to. It would make sense to me if all of the extra running, jumping, and falling down would increase "wear and tear" type injuries.

OKC's offense is 125.4 with Shai on, and 103 with him off.
Denver's offense is 127.5 with Jokic on, and 107.3 off
Giannis 123.5 and 102.1 off
In an MVP context these guys seem like the clear favourites and also potentially highlighting serious vulnerabilities to injury for each team.

At least OKC has Williams coming back at some point who can offset some of Shai.
The others...nope.

Yes. I mean, any team would be cooked without their MVP candidates. I just thought it was cool to see what a significant impact all three of them have. Three very different styles of player, too.
I think if Giannis doesn't make a mid-season trade call no one is competing with OKC.

Yeah OKC is on another level vs everyone else.
I hate that Giannis...if he makes that call, will choose a team in the East and it won't be the Raps....lol
