Yeah both IQ and Poeltl aren’t going anywhere

Seems like Raps FO regrets the extensions

Bobby is somewhere between Colangelo and Babcock

and people here think we should preach patience and let this "new" FO make us contenders

What do you suggest doing instead?

Atlanta didn’t have to give up an asset to get off Trae

I don’t think Raptors can say same about IQ right now unless it is another undesirable contract coming back

He doesn't have more value as a player....Its all about $.....No team wants to pay Trae 50+ mill that is superstar money he is not on that level....But hes still a better player than IQ....

IQ is also a negative contract because teams don't think hes worth the money even at the 32M he is making teams don't want to pay it.....So both are not horrible players in the grand scheme of things its just teams do not value the $$$ vs contributions they make for their teams....

But IQ Vs Trae as players? Trae is obvously better overall...

Lol Presti would be one of the guys who would take us out of team Mid....Money talks but how realistic is it for him to leave OKC?....

We deff need a Presti like mind running our team as i doubt Bobby makes it much longer running the team....

Presti has more success building teams than just on the back of SGA?.....He drafted KD/Harden/Westbrook/Ibaka and brought that team as far as he could....As well as built a championship team with this current team....

So yes talents do win at the end of the day but Presti is very very qualified in identifying that talent and going to get them....Also he has a knack to pivot at times when it is the right time to instead of holding onto players for way to long...

Id have alot more trust in Presti building a winner vs Bobby off track record and if you say differently....Well go for it but you will be wrong.

We need a GM with Presti type team building patterns if we want to escape the team mid 9-5 type team that we been for half a decade now.

All this Bobby bitching when the team is playing above expectations AND dealing with injuries.

Too funny

They found the one team that needs salary to get to the salary floor, and who also needs a star attraction that won’t contribute to winning, because they still want high draft picks

It’s more of a problem for next season when RJ’s contract is expiring. This year we’re fine.

Trae is better at running an offence than IQ, but he is not a better shooter, at least according to his percentages, and he is definitely not better defensively, and combine that with Trae making and expecting a lot more in salary, I think it is clear IQ has more value than Trae.

It is the complete lack of D, combined with the potential impact of ageing, for a diminutive PG that has destroyed Trae’s value. The fact that 29 other teams were like, no thank you, no interest in taking him on for nothing, says all you need to know.

Kawhi took OKC out of “Team Mid.”

What’s our SGA trade?

The path ahead seems pretty simple. If they continue to be on an upward trajectory as a team, they will go into the tax either next season or the one after and manage the roster accordingly.

We will get our SGA trade when Sam Presti runs the Raptors.

Are you still going to use that argument of "how many championships does Sam Presti have"?

Teams always want expirings, right? That's what people are saying right now. So we can move him next year if they want.

And if it's about re-signing him, what's he worth when he isn't viewed as positive on his current deal.

Last year people were worried how much Ochai could make on his next deal. Things change.

We don't "have" to do anything this year except get below the tax and I expect they already have that deal lined up. Let's see how things play out.

Not anymore, it’s now about how he was gifted a top 2 player for Paul George.

Return to Toronto Raptors
