Bob Knight denounced NCAA players entering the draft after one season as a “disgrace.”

The former Indiana and Texas Tech basketball coach and current ESPN analyst delivered a speech at The Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday night.

"I think it's a disgrace," Knight said of players who attend college for one year to fulfill the NBA's requirement to be drafted. "If I was an NBA general manager, I would never want to take a kid 18, 19 years old, a year out of college. I'd wait until someone else worked two or three years with him to adjust him to the NBA and I'd trade a draft pick."

There you have it folks: if Bobby Knight was an NBA GM, he would pass on Anthony Davis in this draft.

Bob is getting old. Really old, so old that he doesn't know what he's saying anymore.

I know this is an unrelated sports but the NHL draft lottery is on Tuesday and the Leafs are going into the lottery projecting as 5th. What could be related is that this year's NHL draft is exactly alike because its very stacked and there's 1 elite and 5 incredibly talented prospects. Whoever wins the lottery will get Yakupov like how one wins Davis while you have Dumba/Grigorenko/Murray/Gally/Forsberg resembles of T-Rob/Beal/MKG/Barnes/Lamb/Drummond. I'm going to watch this draft lottery to get a feel of it, cos it'll be the same vibe come June 28th.

Maybe the Leafs win it, they need a gift from God to turn that team around.

IMAGINE for a second what would mean for the sports in Toronto if both leafs and raps win the lottery...i would be so happy...the new owners would immediately regain some of the investment made in buying MLSE...

WTF- I just got back from 10 day vacation and see we're sitting pretty securely in the 6-7 seed!?

MAN.

So pissed- thought we were in good spot for top 4.

If we end up here, then it has to be Lamb/Beal/Rivers IMO. A decent consolation prize I suppose.

Also, pray for them ping pong balls.

It's a good chance of us getting MKG or HB, one eventually will drop to us. I hope.

What's funny is that I had lunch with Terrence Ross' agent yesterday. We talked about every possible scenario. Toronto never came up.

The way I see it. The raps have to move up to at least 4-5. None of this 6-7-8

Actually, 6-7 is not secure. 9th or better is secure. 6-8 is probable.

Sacramento better win a game or two. This 6-7 business sucks. I don't want Harrison Barnes. No offense to his fans, but he looks like another role player to me. We gotta do better than that. Davis, MKG, Robinson, Beal, and worst case Lamb... Anyone else and I'll be pissed. Drummond is the guy I've got mixed feelings about, like everyone else I suppose.

Mixed feelings on Drummond yes, but if we pick 5-6 and he's there. I take him and run. I think Drummond and Val could be very sexy 8-) .

No thanks on Drummond. He'll be Bargnani 2.0: fanbase waiting in agony for years hoping he'll eventually find a clue.
