Bring back Khem Birch and use the MLE to add some guard depth...you've got a contender right there. Still have #46 and #47 to add some young depth pieces too.

Lillard / MLE
VanVleet / Trent Jr
Anunoby / Watanabe / Watson Jr
Siakam / Boucher
Birch / Gillespie

so exactly who did you trade to match his 40 mil salary?

Baynes, Hood and Lowry sign and trade gets you to $40M. Someone else said you can't have a threeway trade with a sign and trade component, but you could probably structure it without needing that. Another way would be to wait until after the draft and use the salary hold from the 4th pick to get there too.

You cannot pile on players to an outgoing S+T.

Scottie Barnes isn't a center he's a SF/PF like Anunoby. Sure they could play small ball but he would get killed. I don't think you need all four of Kuminga, Barnes, Anunoby and Siakam

Horrible trade and picks, double high bust potentials in Kuminga and Barnes on the same team developing at the same time.

Just keep #4 and draft Suggs/Mobley

swap Boucher for #19 and expiring

If the Cavs pull a Cavs and take someone unexpected at 3 and the Raps end up with their choice of two of Suggs, Green, Mobley @ 4 I would consider making this deal because it puts us in the same position we expected to be in when the lotto happened and we get 8 out of the deal.

I would draft different players but the deal is good for the Raps;
Not sure about Orlando though.

Even better. Assuming Barnes goes 3 to Cleveland. Take one of Suggs/Green/Mobley at 5 then Kuminga at 8.

Lowry - Flynn
Vanvleet - Trent Jr.
Anunoby - Kuminga
Siakam - Kuminga

Anunoby - Kuminga
Siakam - Kuminga

With the news of Keon Johnson working out with the Raps

How about FVV for Steven Adams + 10th pick?
Raps sign Lowry and draft Suggs

Draft another prospect with 10th pick

i for one dont think the free agent market is going to be robust one for lowry, and if he wants to chase money/terms
lowry signs a 3 year 65-70$ with wolves, knows finch from his short stay with raptors and vice versa.

Twolves like suns last year finished season strong. have large collection of high end picked players looking to take next step. Can look to emulate suns and get a veteran pg lowry.

Rubio + naz ried + future protected 1st (is essentially a copy of the suns trade for cp3 (rubio, oubre, future protected 1st)

Rubio - expiring contract, can see if we can flip him for a small sweetener or a project.

It really depends on how they feel about the player. If they don’t think there’s much if any drop off, you take the two picks and run. But if you think a guy is on another level, you stay put and take him. We’re talking about potentially our franchise player of the future.

100%
From my perspective I am perfectly content to get one of Green, Mobley, or Suggs. (I know opinions vary wildly on this)
So in the case of the Cavs going off the board and taking lets say Kuminga @ 3 I make the deal because I still end up with one of those three guys at five and I get eight for my troubles.

Its not a deal I consider making if only one of those guys is left @ 4.

a package of OG Anunoby, Chris Boucher, and a future first-round pick could be enough for Sam Presti and the OKC front office and pave the way for an intriguing backcourt of VanVleet, Walker, and Green or Suggs.

I wish I could be this high at work.

I'd do it if it's both Jalens who are left. But if Mobley and one Jalen drops, I really can't see Masai passing up the opportunity to get our big man of the future. Scorers are more plentiful. Hell, Jalen Harris is a three level scorer, and should be back next year.

OTOH, with Mo Bamba and Carter, would the Magic draft Mobley over a Jalen?

As per reports:

ST Lowry for Adams and #10

He has 2 more years so that should be enough time to find a long term C. Who says no?

Clearly the author of this article secretly works for Wojnarowski and the clippers.

They still out to get us.

i dont follow the financials too closely. but can someone pls explain to me (preferably without the snark) how in the world the Raptors were planning to sign Giannis? what kind of team were they expecting to put around him? they haven't really signed anybody, yet they're still not in a position to max someone even if they renounce their rights to Lowry. was Giannis a pipedream the moment Fvv was re-upped? help me understand

I suspect this season would have gone a little different;
We likely don't sign OG prior to the extension headline so rather than being a 16m hit against the salary cap we maintain his reasonable-ish 5-6m caphold on the books.

I would imagine we likely move Powell for an expiring and a pick rather than GTJ and his 4m caphold.

Right now we would have around 17-18m in cap space assuming you renounce any holds except GTJ and non-rookie options.
If we didn't sign OG (even though it likely costs us way more now) we have around 28m-29m then 33-34m w/o Trents Caphold.

Getting to the 40m likely requires a trade or some creativity and then you sign OG after the fact;

Giannis, OG, FVV, and Siakam and stuff.

Just a question, if FVV, Siakam and Lowry have so much trade value, why did you not make the playoffs ?? Add in OG and that's tanking conspiracy material, especially if NYK got in...
