Was just listening to the latest Lowe Post podcast and they were taking Memphis Grizzlies.

They were talking about how the Grizz are looking for a Jaylen Brown type of 3 and D.

Would a trade like this make sense?
Toronto trades:
OG Anunoby
Malachi Flynn
Isaac Bonga

Memphis trades:
Desmond Bane
Zaire Williams
Xavier Tillman
Kyle Anderson

For the Grizz...OG is a lesser Jaylen Brown on a good contract and adds to the core. Malachi...maybe he gets the backup PG spot if the Grizz let current backup Tyus Jones go as a free agent this summer. Memphis is rolling right now and is a top 4 seed in the West...and OG could really really improve their D and gives Ja another option to pass out to knock down 3s.

For Toronto...Bane off the bench is what you need for shooting and scoring. Williams is a project but could develop in our system (was the 10th pick in this past draft) as a 3 and D guy. Tillman is tall. Slow Mo is an expiring contract.

some players to consider:
Orl-Gary Harris and Mo Bamba
Portland if they choose to tank - Norm, Covington, Nurkic, Larry Nance Jr

question is would a combo of Dragic, Flynn, boucher be interesting enough for these teams and what kind of picks would have to be attached.

Not trading OG to dilute the team. Trade Trent if you want to do that, so take out Bane.

quality matters more than quantity. I'd rather have OG than any of the Grizz players on that trade.

Just see what C we can add for picks, dragic, boucher or other depth players.

That C pushes GTJ to the bench which helps fix the bench scoring issue. Adding a backup PG who can create would be nice too.

I don't see Barnes as a guard, at least not until he shows a consistent 3 point shot. The biggest issues with this team is actually not center, it's guards and shooting.

Kings gonna be dealing Bagley III before the deadline ... I'd do it if the price was right

Bagley is interesting but I’m sure he can be gotten for cheap in FA in the summer

Mavs are waiving WCS. He also sucks, but if no one claims him is he worth a look given our current C rotation?

he's making 11.3M, Flynn+Svi+Bonga isn't going to cut it.

He's been missing a bit of games last month due to personal reasons. Mght be why he was waived.

For basketball reasons, I don't see him being any better than what we have right now.

If our plans are playoff success which it looks like it is, we NEED a backup playmaking guard in the worst way.

To Toronto
Caris LeVert
Torrey Craig

To Indiana
Malachi Flynn
Goran Dragic
David Johnson
2022 Top 14 protected 1st

Caris is the perfect 6th man. He can be on the court every time Fred isnt.

VanVleet/Trent/OG/Barnes/Pascal

LeVert/Craig/Yuta/Birch/Prescious

after this you have a legit 8-9 guy rotation.

A top 5 protected 2023 first from us is a pretty strong piece. Not a ton of picks with less protection get dealt for guys who aren't stars.

he isn't a guard, finally someone says it. We need shooting and ball handling in the worst way.

What about Dragic, Flynn and Svi (or Bonga) for Bogdanovic and Delon Wright?

Then trade Boucher and 1st for Poeltl and 2nd and then Trent for Powell.

LeVert averages like 40 games a year so far and his contract expires next year. Think I'd rather keep the FRP.
