Scottie listed at 6'7 looked silly the moment he stepped on the court for summer league. To my eye, he appears to be the same size as Birch, who's listed at 6'9.

Scottie measured 6 foot 7 in Socks, and 6 foot 8 in shoes at the 2021 Draft Combine. He probably is now 6 foot 9 in shoes now. Birch measured 6 foot 7.75 inches in socks, and 6 foot 9 in shoes. Scottie is probably the same height as Birch now.

I'd be shocked if Scottie was over 6'8" without shoes on. I guess if they're 6'8" and have shoes on, coaches will say they're 6'10.

That is literally how it is done. No one uses barefoot measurements.

So if he grew an inch, he would indeed be 6'8 bare foot and 6'9-6'10 in shoes.

Until they start playing games barefoot, they really should just list their barefoot height plus one inch for shoes and call it quits.

I just try to avoid being let down by the endless disappointments
- the jv jump that never happened (blame casey)
- t Ross being inconsistent
- norm powell struggling after the big contract
- the pascal bubble struggles...and also missing tons of bunnies near the rim

Other than Ross, all those other players significantly improved lol.

Good interview all around, Scottie understands that location means less in a Global/Digital world. He’s going to be big for the NBA going forward and has likely already become the face of the franchise. The fact he gets all that and still maintains the dedication to win, improve, put in the hard work is crazy! It’s a modern mix of the Mamba mentality and Magic’s charisma!

Ya i dont know what any of that post means. All our players from various draft positions or undrafted improved exponentially including siakam, norm, fvv, og, (poetl would have gotten there too if not traded) and turned into very good nba players. Then the next group is coming in Barnes, Precious and possibly Banton , Koloko

Name another franchise that have produced that kind of talent through drafting and developing. Raps are top 3 in the league and arguably number 1.

This is crazy man. This is the culture thing like if Cade was on our squad with our guys the way they are tight knit and have the "winning culture" / work ethic, he would be improving a lot more. I imagine that Barnes sees the vets like Thad, Pascal, Fred, etc. set goals and improve their game and keep in touch and as a competitor who wants to be an integral part of the core, he has to keep up with that and naturally it drives him even more. Meanwhile Cade is already given the reigns, is around a bunch of young guys and doesn't have that.

Isn't this a whole lot of assumptions based on a 5 min video?

Some players like to show workouts on their social media while others don't. We haven't heard much from other Raptors this offseason, but that doesn't mean they aren't working on their games.

Definitely. I thought about that as I was writing but I still think that it's a possibility and I do think all these guys would be better off with us. Like someone else said, there seemed to be guys who wanted us to draft them like Suggs for sure.

Playoff Scottie was a great and unexpected surprise! I'm still upset he couldn't play all of the games.
