I think I'm ready to consolidate OG and Trent into one guy who I know has superstar upside. He also makes our starting lineup make sense (assuming we find a C) where we can make Barnes play the 3.

As much as I like OG, I don't see either him or Trent being an elite primary creator/scorer. Trent is getting better but Jaylen at 25 is already Lowkey looking better than Tatum every other night and I think he needs to be freed from that pairing

Raps would do it in a heartbeat.
Celtics would want more.

It would suck to lose og but at least we'd never have to watch siakam get completly locked down by Jaylen Brown in a playoff series ever again. That was hard to watch.

I've always been a big fan of Jaylen Brown. At first glance, I feel that Trent AND OG is an overpayment but if the Celtics would want more, that's probably a sign that the deal is reasonable for both sides. Brown is good but hasn't reached that superstar level yet. Maybe he will and maybe he won't but I do think some kind of consolidation deal is necessary

If the Hawks are looking to make moves and he's even possibly available I'd be doing anything to trade for Okungwu.

something surrounding Trent Jr + 1st round pick + additional assets if needed.

He's looked good since back from injury and would be the perfect piece we are looking for.

Super versatile and athletic big, good defense, rebounder, rim protector, switchable, shooting potential, young with higher ceiling, and can actually play Center to fill our need and fit our style of play.

PG- FVV
SG - OG
SF- Barnes
PF- Siakam
C- Okungwu

A very deep developing core with eventual championship potential.

question is would a combo of Dragic, Flynn, boucher be interesting enough for these teams and what kind of picks would have to be attached.

I’d like to see ya buy low on bamba and sexton as well (basically for his bird rights).

Fvv /sexton
Trent
OG/ Barnes
Siakam
Birch/ bamba

That’s a solid team that we can move forward with for the next few years and it wouldn’t take a major asset to grab either I think.

Bamba has looked disinterested and lacking passion but I think putting him on a team that has aspirations of winning could wake him up a bit. The shot blocking inside with so shooting ability works well and I doubt the asking price is too high like a Turner would be.

For Sexton, there isn’t going to be a big market for him so I think we could bring him back on a similar Trent deal. He fixes our bench scoring issues, can start some games and doesn’t need to be the primary creator playing with siakam or Barnes on the floor.

I’d use anything out side of the players mentioned and at most one lotto protected pick which should be doable with a little creativity.

I think Cleveland would want something like Trent Jr. and Boucher for Sexton and Rubio but I don't think we'd do it.

Maybe Sexton for Boucher in a 3 teamer where Cleveland gets a wing for Boucher and various contracts depending on the guy. Knicks have Burks and Fournier as 2 guards probably available now. We'd probably have to add something too. A swap of firsts might entice Cleveland as they're 4 spots later than us in the draft as of today.

Not saying its realistic.....but someone like either Tyus Jones or Jalen Brunson would be perfect off the raptors bench and just what the Raptors need in their rotation

Speaking to Hawks fans, Okongwu is up next for them and they’re probably planning to use Capela as a chip later to move Oneyka up the rotation. Also they just traded Cam, don’t think they’re looking for another 18+ million fuard

I could see this happening:

Knicks - Dragic, Expiring from team X, good 2nd rounder from Team X
Raptors - Fournier, Noel, Pick Swap with Knicks (top 10 protected this year)
Team X - Boucher

Knicks suddenly have about 33M in cap space to hold Robinson and sign a 30M guy or sign Robinson for like 12 and get another guy for 20M. They move down 5-10 picks if they don't win the lotto but they get a high 2nd rounder

Raptors get our combo bench scoring guard and move up from about #20 to to about #12 if things break right.

Team X gets Boucher for an expiring and they bring him back with bird rights. Maybe Sacramento for Tristan Thompson, they could use a 4 if they let Bagley go, and they have a high pick to use on a forward anyways and young guards to develop. Maybe Minnesota if they sent 2 of their mid 2nds and the Knicks can move up to get a guy in the 30s

I’d trade this year’s 1st for a veteran/bench help and buy a 2nd rd pick in early 40s

Knicks gonna knick.

Fournier is already a bad contract.

Only reason I’d be interested in this trade is for the lolz of getting to watch the knicks do what they always do with cap space: overspend on older veterans!!!!!

Ya Fournier will never be a raptor!

I really like this idea. It probably needs to be expanded though. Depends on how much Atlanta likes Trent Jr and if they see him and Trae as a longterm solution.

Something like Trent Jr + Boucher + 2x 1st round picks for Okungwu + Bogdanovic seems closer to me. Bogdanovic in the 6th man role.

Vanvleet- Anunoby - Barnes - Siakam - Okungwu - Bogdanovic - Birch - Achiuwa is a pretty solid rotation. If they could follow up with a Dragic for Eric Gordon or Terrance Ross type trade to shore up the bench that would be nice too.

Flynn, Svi and Bonga for Bagley

Bagley is interesting but I’m sure he can be gotten for cheap in FA in the summer

Bagley is a tough guy to peg salary wise;
He is 22 and can score. His defense is putrid but that hasn't stopped teams from creating awful contracts in free agency.

I wouldn't be shocked if some team dared the Kings to match a full MLE deal with max raises;

I don't think Harris or even Ross from Orlando cost you much;
Bamba is a bit of a mystery as I have no idea how he fits in with the already signed Isaac and WCJ long term or what he will command this summer.

RoCo is likely available as he is an expiring and I am not sure if the Blazers attempt to retain, the balance of the guys I cant see them moving quite yet and Nurkic I suspect they would at least try and retain if not S&T this summer.

I think SRPs are likely the high watermark for the guys who would likely be available.

Interesting read regarding Champ. Didn't know he had a twin that is a shooter!

Apparently the Pacers are looking for two first round picks for Myles Turner and a first plus a young player for Levert.

Raptors were reportedly interested in Josh Hart a couple of years ago. Wonder if he's still a target?

Would be a great fit in terms of what we need right now. Volume Shooter/Great Defender/Ball Handler
