as they should.

Freeing up 20 million for some team this off-season is worth at least a 1st round pick

Man... I',m so damn curious to see what we end up doing with Dragic. Cant refresh these pages any more.....

So many questions, no answers:

Do we go after a guard or big?
Youth or vet?
Expiring or multi year contract?
Average player with no pick or add a pick for a better player?
Or do we trade for a delayed trade chip (ie. Gallo contract)?
Or.. *gulp*... do nothing at all?

I am fine with any scenario save for buying out Dragic ourselves, but I need answers!

I can not function without answers!!!!

Boucher not getting dealt in my opinion.

7 Players are off limits for varying reasons in my eyes:

Siakam
OG
GTJ
FVV
Barnes
Precious
Boucher

Everyone else is fair game, but also suspect that Banton, Watanabe and even Birch are close to 'off limits unless the player wows us' territory.

Honestly this was my line of thinking before the Bobby presser. I thought Boucher/Flynn would be used in one deal and Dragic in another and both shoring up some front court depth and bench scoring to balance out the roster. But I no longer think Boucher is a piece that they're considering moving. I think it'll be a lone Dragic deal with a pretty 'meh' return.

Maybe we can sneak in and grab Holmes + ?

Maybe I am wrong, but I thought Sabonis is clearly the best player in the trade and they got him without moving Barnes or Fox. With Davion Mitchell playing better, I can see why they moved on from the surplus of guards. They have been trying to dump Hield for years.

To me, NBA fans are too fixated on guards being the stars of the NBA. Sabonis is a rare player who you can run an offense through and the Kings needs a frontcourt guy. Hali is a nice PG, but I don't think he gets close to the level of production from Sabonis.

Value wise in a vacuum it makes some sense;
You got the best player in the deal and you unloaded a contract you have been trying to unload since about 20 minutes after Hield signed it but in reality for this season you are 2 games behind the Peli's for 10th who just got better and like six games behind 9th. Its a win now move in a situation where you shouldn't be trying to win now.

Even next year, does Fox/Sabonis = 8th seed? Sure, its possible but I would argue that building around Fox is like building a house on sand and you can try and try but I can't see them being anywhere other than the awkward spot where you are not good enough to win but not bad enough to get a great player in the draft for the balance of the Sabonis contract.

But we'd still be over the cap on our end so it does NOTHING to help us to lose Dragic for nothing.

Let's be real though guys, we were never getting Myles Turner for Goran Dragic lol I don't buy into that one at all, the Anunoby one seems more like what happened. Which is an obvious no.

I think Pacers wanted OG , for Turner and Raps didn’t bite so they ended up doing the Haliburton trade. I guess we need to look elsewhere now.

Fking Kings screwed us again, always making stupid trades to screw market rates

I think if we are getting a good C back, it makes one of Precious, Boucher or Birch very expendable as we'd no longer have minutes for them. For example, if we could swing Dragic/Precious/1st for Poeltl/McDermott, the minutes for Precious would be drying up anyways.

Nah Poetel is an expiring and then giving a cheap signed Precious who we can keep for many years at a low rate is a bad move.
