I’ll be happy getting someone who will force Darko to play Scottie Barnes at PF on D. He’s such a great help defender and rebounder, and he’s getting exhausted having to D up against the best perimeter players right now in order to hide Siakam on D.

I’d rather we trade for more established players with upside, similar to RJ and Quickley.

In that case, I’d look to target Nesmith on the Pacers and Dort on the Thunder.

Hield + Nesmith + Smith + Pick

Or

Bertans + Dort + Wallace + Pick

Is it me or Dort would be a great fit.

But I did not see many OKC rumors.

All I want is Cason Wallace, Lu Dort and Davis Bertans for Pascal and Garrett Temple. Maybe we add the Pistons 2nd pick for a 1st pick? We get back 3 players that can presumably be counted on hitting an open 3. Also Cason would become Jrue so IQ doesn't have to.

OKC is actually closer to Lewisville than Houston (another possible destination).

I would be ecstatic about that trade.

I love Dort.
The difference between him and OG is marginal.
Both are strictly 3&D guys.
Bring Lu home!

I think it ends up something like

Siakam for T Hardaway Jr, R Holmes, J Green, OM Prosper, future 1st

Great deal for Dallas if they dont give up Lively. Raps would want Lively

And that's why they won't get Siakam

Warriors just lost to a depleted Grizzlies team .

Interesting that they started Wiggins and Saric instead of Kuminga. I’m probably over analyzing it but neither have any business starting and they’re presumably trying to move both at the deadline.

I’d pass on Wiggins unless GSW empties the clip; Kuminga + Moody + Future first(s). If they say no it’s fine you just go to Sacramento Indiana Detroit or Atlanta.

FO isn't waiting till deadline day to trade him.

There will be only a few serious suitors for Siakam.
Those suitors have backup plans, or other priorities.
Some teams may prioritize Lauri over Pascal, others may look for a cheaper route and opt for Wiggins or Kuzma.
Plenty of forwards on the market, Siakam ain't the only one.

If the FO decides to wait till deadline day, they can easily screw themselves over and might be left hanging onto Siakam with a real risk of losing him in the off-season.

That'd be incompetency at it's finest.

I'm still confident Siakam gets moved by the end of the month, maybe even this week.

Jarace Walker with an all-Scottie stat line of
8 pt 4 rb 4 as 4 st 2 bl in 26 mins. Not good shooting percentages but he came off an illness.

That activity is amazing. I dont see them trading him. 4 steals and 2 blocks in 26 min is wild

No chemistry between him and the new pair, especially RJ

Plus no OG, that means he has to run around guarding other teams best players. I wish Raptors had taded Siakam instead of OG.

Barrett and Scottie have a bad history with each other which will be tough to overcome.

RJ played at Montverde and won a title over Scottie's team in 2018. Scottie went and joined Montverde the next year after RJ left. But they had a few close encounters.

Then the NY stuff was minor but RJ showed him up again. And now he looks like the primary option over Scottie while Barnes hasn't looked himself. Maybe not the best trade all things considered.

What a foolish take. All because the two had a competitive back and forth in high school means they won’t be able to get along at the NBA level? LMAO. Talk about a reach.

RJ stated the two have never had beef and they seem to be getting along just fine.
The chemistry isn’t all the way there but it’s only been a few games, it’ll take time.

High school rivalry is tough, but I feel generally you leave that behind you. It’ll always be there, but I’m guessing Scottie and RJ will one day feel they’d rather be on the same team than going at each others throats. The off-season might be a good chance for everyone to bond and hopefully come strong next season.

This is all just nitpicking at nothing. They’ve competed against each other at the HS and NBA level. That doesn’t make them dislike each other. They might need a little time to develop on court chemistry but aside from that, there’s likely no issues

I hope so because RJ is like a perfect low usage player. He loves to cut and make layups. Scottie can absolutely dime him with passes.

I just think in the short term it kind of feels like Scottie's star is not as bright with RJ having good scoring games. He needs to just focus on winning.
