It doesn't even matter what Gradey's 3pt % is because teams think he can shoot and they're closing on him hard, and he's just attacking the rim at will when they do.

Imaging last Nov if sinineone had saud:

"Gradey will lead this draft class in PPG this time next year"

That person might of gotten banned for trolling...lol. And the good thing is, none of his numbers are unsustainable. Like he is shooting 37% from 3....vs Siakam shooting 45%.

I do look forward to possibly a healthy lineup at some point to see how they all mesh together. But Gradey "getting his" is so much more appealing to the eye test and seems much more on the flow of the game vs when RJ goes for his.

We need to have a few good practices and get back to faster ball movement and unselfish play.

Roughly, if I had to guess, this is what the Raps core will look like in a couple years. XXX will likely be filled with our picks in 25/26.

Dick emerging as a (potential) legit top 3/4 guy is pretty big.

Honestly, I'm quite concerned about the defensive ceiling for that starting lineup, especially if we add RJ. We'd need some sort of defensive powerhouse at center to offset that.

(Likely) having two 1st round picks in 2026 will really help fill out our rotation for the future.

The Pacers feel precarious, any injury could see them wind up in the lottery easily. I think we likely have two picks in the 10-20 range next year which is great. Got options to either fill out the rotation, consolidating the two picks to move up higher, or packaging the picks for another star.

I've been saying it since the trade and Gradey showing he was improved in the second half of last season, RJ is not a long term piece, he is a primary trade piece that will be packaged with others in a few years for a big upgrade like DD was. I don't expect another Kawhi type trade, but rather a much better player coming back.

Our pieces so far are all looking like they are exceeding their draft positions, and we should be able to consolidate the overlap into a better player.

Reggie Miller comp isn’t that bad to be honest. He never shot a huge volume of threes in that era and would be a freakin beast today, but he was an all around bucket getter just like Gradey. Key difference was the relentless running off screens and off ball movement he was known for. I haven’t paid attention to that with Gradey but that could be key to really unlocking his game as well.
