Three Way Trade with Toronto and Washingon

Cleveland trades: Antawn Jamison, Ramon Sessions, J.J. Hickson, Christian Eyenga, and 2011 first (LAC)
Cleveland obtains: Rashard Lewis, Amir Johnson*, 2011 first (WAS), and 2011 first (TOR)

Toronto trades: Amir Johnson*, James Johnson, and 2011 first
Toronto obtains: J.J. Hickson, Christian Eyenga, and 2011 first (LAC via CLE)

Washington trades: Rashard Lewis and 2011 first
Washington obtains: Antawn Jamison, Ramon Sessions, and James Johnson

*If you guys prefer Amir Johnson over Linas Kleiza, the two could be interchanged - I'm not sure who is preferred by fans/the Raps organization. I figured since Amir Johnson makes more money, you'd want to dump him.

I think this is a pretty good deal for you guys. You move down 5-6 spots (the Clippers' pick is probably going to be 8th) and pick up Hickson and Eyenga in exchange for presumably an overpaid Amir Johnson and a young player that hasn't been with the team long.

Thoughts?

And I'm not that sold on Hickson and Eyenga being worth it to go later in the draft for.

Haha, keep dreaming, were not trading potentially 3 starters for a guy who plays the same position as our biggest strength.

I don't get why you think Amir is overpaid, you must listen to Hollinger a bit too much. But outside of DeMar and Davis he is right up there with the core players we're not planning to trade away.

However, we will gladly give you Bargnani minus our draft pick.

Theres no way we're giving our first rounder. I didn't watch 82 games of a **** season to get Hickson and Eyenga.

^ If Denver re-signs Chandler, yes. And yes, I'd do that deal if the contracts added up.

maybe a Calderon + Bargs for Bynum + Filler would be good.

the only way the Lakers would do that is if Bynum's injuries are too much of a concern... in which case, should we be doing it?

Here are 9 trades I think have potential of getting done, mainly designed to move Bargs and get fair value back for him. The trades are ranked in the order I would prefer them to happen. In each trade I assumed we would be drafting #3 and I have Kanter selected in each case for simplicity. I also made some assumptions about others draft picks. There was also a lot of talk from the staff this week about needing to add vets so I added Maglore, Parker and Earl Watson to the back of the roster. In some scenarios there is a log jam of players but thats just cuz I was to lazy to make subsequent trades for the likes of Barbosa, Calderon and Kleiza, but I think additional moves could be made after, so don't flame me for that.

1.
Toronto Trades:
Andrea Bargnani, Solomon Alabi and Bayless

Golden State Trades:
Biedrins / Curry

Kanter / Biedrins / Maglore
Davis / Johnson / Evans
Johnson / Kleiza
Derozen / Barbosa / Weems / Parker
Curry / Calderon / Watson

2.
Toronto Trades:
Andrea Bargnani, and Solomon Alabi

Minnesota Trades:
Darko, #2

Kanter / Darko / Maglore
Davis / Johnson / Evans
D. Will / Johnson / Kleiza
Derozen / Barbosa / Weems / Parker
Bayless / Calderon / Watson

3.
Toronto Trades:
Andrea Bargnani, Solomon Alabi

Utah Trades:
Okur and #6

Kanter / Okur / Maglore
Davis / Johnson / Evans
Johnson / Kleiza
Derozen / Barbosa / Weems / Parker
Bayless / Knight / Calderon / Watson

4.
Toronto Trades:
Andrea Bargnani and Solomon Alabi

Denver Trades:
S&T Chandler and Mozgov

Kanter / Mozgov / Maglore
Davis / Johnson / Evans
Chandler/ Johnson / Kleiza
Derozen / Barbosa / Weems / Parker
Bayless / Calderon / Watson

5.
Toronto Trades:
Andrea Bargnani and Linas Kleiza and Solomon Alabi

Atlanta Trades:
Marvin Willaims and Zaza Pachulia

Kanter / Zaza / Maglore
Davis / Johnson / Evans
Willams / Johnson / Kleiza
Derozen / Barbosa / Weems / Parker
Bayless / Calderon / Watson

6.
Toronto Trades:
Andrea Bargnani, Solomon Alabi

LA Clippers Trades:
Kaman and Bledsoe

Kanter / Kaman / Maglore
Davis / Johnson / Evans
Johnson / Kleiza
Derozen / Barbosa / Weems / Parker
Bayless / Bledsoe / Calderon / Watson

7.
Toronto Trades:
Andrea Bargnani, Solomon Alabi

Memphis Trades:
S&T Gasol

Kanter / Gasol/ Maglore
Davis / Johnson / Evans
Johnson / Kleiza
Derozen / Barbosa / Weems / Parker
Bayless / Calderon / Watson

8.
Toronto Trades:
Andrea Bargnani and Solomon Alabi

Charlotte Trades:
Diop and Najera and #9

Kanter / Diop / Maglore
Davis / Johnson / Evans / Najera
Johnson / Jones / Kleiza
Derozen / Barbosa / Weems / Parker
Bayless / Calderon / Watson

9.
Toronto Trades:
Andrea Bargnani and Solomon Alabi

Milwaukee Trades:
Maggette and #10

what about this simple deal (*IF WE GET IRVING*)

To TOR: Joel Anthony + 3rd Team Expiring
To MIA: Jose Calderon
To 3rd Team: Mike Miller

MIA gets their PG and would use the MLE on a C.

TOR gets Anthony to spell Bargnani with his defense and an expiring for Jose. Irving takes over.

3rd team would get SG help.

Irving / Bayless
Derozan / Barbosa
Johnson / Klezia
Davis / Johnson
Bargnani / Anthony

is a pretty solid team.

I'd do that with or without us drafting Kyrie.

minor lateral move at best. Bynum is too injury plagued. And when he isn't he's not 100 percent.

Salaries would match and we would still be stuck with a bunch of cash tied up to a piece that isn't part of a true contending core.

Plus I doubt Bynum wants to play here, especially if we are rebuilding, so I think he will bolt the first chance he gets

Keeping Jose leaves us on the treadmill. We need to get as much cap space as possible. If we drafted Kanter you just give the keys to Jerryd and go find a D-League back-up at the point if you don't get one in the draft.

You're acting as if teams will line up to take on Mike Miller though. He's probably as hard to unload as Jose is. I wonder if the Nets would give up a similar duo/trio for Jose (Morrow and/or Farmar and Petro).

ballislife wrote:If we win the lottery... draft Kyrie Irving and trade both Bargnani and Bayless to the Kings for their 5th pick (if Kanter's still available) and Garcia for veteran leadership.

Sacramento gets a PF to pair with Cousins to space the floor and compliment him well. They also get a young PG with the ability to score and play off of Tyreke Evans. We add some leadership in Garcia and hopefully (if Kanter shows well in workouts) get a nice young C who can score down low and rebound the ball - giving us a nice front court rotation with Amir coming off the bench as the first big man filling in both PF/C spots.

Irving/Calderon
DeRozan/Barbosa
Johnson (or a FA like Green or Chandler)/Kleiza/Garcia
Davis/Johnson
Kanter/Ajinca/Alabi

Nice young and balanced team with a lot of talent and potential to grow together and make a very good team for years to come.

I actually like this deal for both teams. The dark horse is Kanter but I'd risk it. Or I would package the 5th pick and Kleiza for a S&T centre (Gasol/Jordan).

Raptors trade:
Jose Calderon
[possibly Weems S&T as sweetener?]

Raptors Acquire:
James Posey (Filler)
Paul George (Prospect)
Pacers 15th pick in 2011 draft

Ends up costing us 500k more + pick, but hey. That's a nice trade for both sides, Collision could use a hand

Indiana would never give up Paul George + a pick for Calderon, even with Weems. George is part of their future.

What works better and is more fair for the pacers would be

Bargnani
Klezia

For

George
Posey
Jones

Collision
Rush
Granger
Bargnani
Hibbert

Is a nice complete lineup. Assuming we draft Kanter or Irving

Irving
Derozan
George
Davis
C (Calderon/Barbosa trade)
