There won’t be any tanking unless things change, sadly. This team just isn’t bad enough. We may be doomed as a treadmill team for the foreseeable future.

Not looking good.
I gave a couple wins vs some good teams example the pacers coming up and the sixers down the line.
That three game winning streak at the end kills our tank. Hopefully the rockets beat us.
I strongly feel Silver will end the season early by March and we’ll never get to play the second half of the season. So being bad early is critical.
This scenario is if we stay being mediocre and doesn’t take into consideration missing players.

Re: Tank World Order
Since the new lottery teams 6/7/8 have all made their way into the top 3. I'm convinced that we aren't terrible enough to be bottom 5 bad even with a Lowry and Powell trade but at those spots there's still a chance

Re: Tank World Order
I predicted a Pacers split but with no Lowry or Siakam would have been a nice L.
Sabonis a typical euro fraud.

There is zero chance this team consistently loses to the worst teams in the league, even if they trade Kyle.
Late lottery is the best case scenario.

It’s probably the most likely scenario. Already won too many games at this point.
Odds are we’re not finding an elite player at that level.

I'll give it another week or so, but I think the TWO dream is dead again just as in 2013. Doomed to the treadmill.

I’m still proud of our boys. They put up a fight for the first little bit of the season.

Re: Tank World Order
In watching that game where all those undrafted players came together and completely shut down one of the best big men in the league, it would be hard for me and could conscience to want them to lose. Would we not be wasting all of that amazing player development that has resulted from the work of an elite organization?
If we tank, could we still develop the same culture of developing key pieces or a championship team? We are now to the point where we are developing players who went through a maladjusted development process in the first place like Stanley Johnson, do we really want to reverse that?
I'm not sure what that looks like. I guess we could trade away all those players that we developed for less value to lose. Then we draft somebody big next year, and then maybe look for other players to develop like we have in the past? Taking just seems to present a lot of risks with high probability of detrimental outcomes for the organization.
Maybe what TWO needs is a risk analysis of tanking. Can you folks give us some risk mitigation strategies that would be viable in moving forward?

Forum chatter and social media are extremely low in the pecking order of motivational sources for professional athletes.
Pride, character and money (eg. bad performances directly correlated - see Stanley) are all the motivation they need, and the Raps players have a ton of the first two characteristics.
