Mirrors my initial thoughts on this draft class. Shockingly boring after the top 2. Usually I can buy into the hype of a prospect in our projected range but it's slim pickings this year.

The first two this year are generational talent - that's the big difference. Plus there are a ton of wings between 6'7"-6'10, some that could shoot well and that's our thing / need. So for a Raptor's fan this is a nice draft.

If Fred is moved, Cason Wallace might be a Jrue guard prospect to consider. If wanting more offense like a Franz Wagner, you go for Jett Howard.

If drafting from say 3-8, maybe trade down and get an additional 1st pick? Outside of Wemby and Scoot there is no Luka Doncic to mess up, by trading for Trae Young and another 1st pick.

Brandon Miller seems like Jabari Smith type of prospect. Maybe better handles but less steals and blocks?

I don't rate Cason as highly as most. Good prospect, but I'd go with Jett if it were between the two. I see way more creation, handle and passing with Jett. But Cason dwarfs him defensively, because I don't think Jett will be very good there.

Edit : and Jetts an awful rebounder for 6'8.

But I still think Miller has the best fit, ceiling and need ratio. Although I understand the questions about his ceiling.

If Fred is moved I could see them getting a pass first pg in free agency. As it is right now, Brandon Miller is the ideal selection. Miller is becoming a better defender too.

Baba went 3 for 6 (0 for 2 from deep) for 6 pts, 2 rebs, 1 stl, 1 blk in 17 mins.

Skip to @1:57 They were down 19-6 before Baba entered off the bench.

@3:53 steal then eurostep layup

@7:48 back on video @7:58 slow post drive for 2

Right now, he'a probably floor Perry Jones with more defensive IQ. I'd say he's on par with GG Jackson in terms of prospect level.

My need/ceiling/fit. Not adding Twins because I just can't evaluate them.
3-6
BMiller
Whitmore
George
Nick Smith

Jett
Wallace
Black
Dick

Pretty much give me anyone of them and I'll be okay. Second four are if we win games and ruin top 6 odds.

I don't understand the Baba love on this board. Any games/videos you'd recommended? Maybe there's something I'm missing.

He looked good for Real and International play. Really FSU should start him and give him 20-25 mins already.

He reminds people of Jonathan Isaac, who also happened to play at FSU for 1 season.

I agree. I mean, I see the flashes, but he's a big project. He's going to need a lot of reps if you're going to get the most of his theoretical skillset. Reminds me a little of the Jonah Bolden infatuation a lot of folks had during the OG draft. Can't be too critical though, I was convinced Nic Claxton was going to be a big wing playmaker during his draft year.

At this stage I think Miller is a 2nd rounder if he decides to come out. May make make sense for him to stay another year, get stronger and work on cleaning up shot. He's still so young.

I think by year's end a team will draft him 25-30.

I guess Bol Bol dropped to the 2nd round... really though he's showing that he should've been a late 1st pick if not mid.

Late first seems a like a good range to swing on potential with Baba, or early second. I'll watch the Fiba/international stuff when I get a chance. John Issacs seems like a good comp with his measurables, mobility and offense potential.

There's always good talent to be had. We will get a good one in the top 10 - after that I'm not so sure.

Cam, Gradey, Jett could all contribute

There is no consensus #3 but plenty to be excited about.

He's almost shooting 50% on catch and shoot opportunities. I dont see any reason why Miller can't become a Klay Thompson/Glen Rice. Both stuggle/d to create their own shot but are/were 2nd or 3rd options (respectfully) on dynasty teams.

What I like about this lottery is all of prospects understand the importance of playing defense.
Walker, Thompson Twins, Anthony Black, Whitmore project to be 1st team all def. Even Jett who's a terrible off ball defender, puts effort in 1v1 situations.

I appreciate the poster who provided the link to the NoCeiling draft blog. Those guys are providing the best prospect analysis.

Need a Cason Wallace/Nick Smith/Keyontae George/Anthony Black tournament, looking at our lottery odds and the mocks.

Though my heart is still invested in Van Vleet bringing back enough assets for us to trade up for Scoot after Detroit or Charlotte ends up #2 in the lottery. I don't see why Houston, San Antonio or Orlando would pass on him at #2.
