Agreed.

Temple talked about being off for a week for the birth of his child and how it gave him perspective of what life after basketball could be like.

Then made the comment like "and it's coming soon".

Hopefully they have had that convo with him on wanting him part of the staff next year. I really think he can help these kids be better pro's.

I feel like the only reason he's even on the team still is because he'll be part of the coaching staff soon enough

He'll have a lot of options to join a coaching staff. We'll see if he wants to keep his family in Toronto. He has 2 young kids so I'm sure that will play a part in it.

Unless Giannis requests Raptors, that is not coming close. They be taking IQ/Barnes and at least 4 firsts. But if Giannis is leaving he is probably going to play with another superstar or a big market team. Raps offers neither.

Quality over quantity. Most teams get middling picks back. This is a very good player and a top 10 pick. Add in a prospect or a couple of picks. That’s fair.
Ultimately it’s a given that Giannis would want to come here. We wouldn’t trade for him otherwise

If we give Barnes + to get Giannis, he’ll have a worse supporting cast than he’d be leaving in Milwaukee. And he would ensure that this year will be our last high(ish) pick.

Why would he want to do that?

 You kidding with that offer? Based on the backlash the Mavs got for trading Luka, the Bucks are at least going to get the Sun, moon, sky and even a couple galaxies if they trade Giannis

It'll be very interesting to see how OKC's playoffs go. If they underperform (2nd round exit, even conference finals exit?), I'd lay odds that they're the front runners for Giannis.

They would only be front runners if they offered two of their core pieces (Chet & J-Dub). But it is also difficult for OKC to deal with the Bucks based on the contracts OKC currently has, as the players that could be used for matching salaries (IH & Dort) are not of real interest to a rebuilding Bucks team.

Giannis would probably prefer to go somewhere other than OKC.

someone has to offer that tho; historically no one guts their team for a superstar; you never get full value; you get good prospects + picks + filler.

There's very few teams who could beat their offer if they gave up even one of them, considering the juicy picks they also have.

At first I thought they could go for a package that would just empty the cupboard in draft assets without touching the core 3, but they just don't have the ownership that's going to do what the Suns/Warriors did with the tax.

If JWill disappoints, it's him/Hart(expiring)/Wiggins level contract plus some quality picks and no one is going to offer anything that competes with that.

IF the tank wars in the East weren't bad enough, all the playoff teams are now going to try and position themselves on Cleveland's side of the bracket.

So we're second in DRTG in the last 35 games, granted a lot vs tanking teams. Makes you wonder if it makes the FO look to double down on offense coming out of the draft.
