Anyways,

Lowry + Amir for Asik and whatever filler they want to part with.

Rockets dealt us Lowry party because he was having issues with the coach there. Can't see them willing to take him back.

I like an Amir for Asik deal in principle though... Might even throw in the Knicks pick to make it happen if necessary. Asik's resale value will likely be higher than those assets combined. But where Lowry is concerned, I'd like to package him with Gay and sell them as a tandem to a team that's desperate to make the playoffs.

Charlotte lost MKG for a good little while.. Perhaps we can trade them both there for picks and expirings. A Lowry-Gay-Jefferson team along with Walker, Taylor, Henderson etc looks good on paper and would be the best Bobcat team to date.

MJ's desperate so he could bite.

I personally like Monroe better than Asik for a number of reasons. He's younger, a better passer, and most importantly he's a better fit playing beside Jonas. Yah his defense aint as good as Asik's but all things considered, I'd rather have Monroe.

If I was Masai, i would definitely be on the phone with Charlotte for their picks and expirings for Gay and Lowry.
I would then seriously give thought to trading Demar for Monroe.

Sorry we don't have the luxury of who fits with Jonas.

I think Lowry's #1 suitor right now could be GSW to take over that Jarrett Jack role. They have no backup ball-handlers at all.

Doesn't sound bad to me, even without Snell. If we're really going to tank, I think we should go after the worst contracts in the league, attached to picks.

Heck, I'd do Gay for Amare & 2 firsts in 2018, and 2020, or whenever NY gets their picks back...

MKG+Haywood+Gordon+ the lowest of the Bobcats three first rounders this year (likely Portland)

for

Lowry+Gay+one of Psycho T/Acy if it's what needs to be done to seal the deal

I would do this without the 1st coming our way

Agreed. Even if Bobcats do not include a first round pick, I would still probably do this trade.

They aren't going to give up MKG especially when they're sucking this hard. Why suck that bad and have a high payroll? I think the best option is to go after the Bulls Bobcat's pick attached to Boozer. Stockpile picks by accepting bad contracts attached to picks. While the young talent is developing we can wait out the contracts. It's that simple.

Bobcats' pick
Boozer

for

Gay

With TT they're definitely going to try and make the playoffs with or without Rose. This would give them a chance against Indiana by matching up a long Gay against PG.

Noah
Gay
Deng
Butler
Hinrich

That's a steady line up with above average players at each position would definitely give some first round trouble.

For us Boozer and Val would be one of the worst front court defensive duos in the league. It could make us the worst team in the league by far. That would mean we'd be a LOCK to draft one of Wiggins, Exum, Parker, or Randle.

Let's not undervalue what we have right now.

I'd need a first coming my way for the package of Gay and Lowry and not the late Portland pick, the Detroit pick. I'd rather have them keep their young guys like Zeller and MKG and give me picks

I don't agree, Lowry and Gay are not long term solutions while MKG could be a staple to a contending team for years

DeRozan, Amir

for

Monroe, KCP, Charlie V

Why for Toronto? We cash in on DeRozan for a prospect, an expiring, and the chance to re-sign Monroe.

Why for Detroit? They downgrade slightly at PF to upgrade at SG, but likely do not want to commit big money to Monroe. They can continue playing Smoove at the 3, or use Amir off the bench and start Smoove at his more natural 4 alongside Singler at the 3 for much needed spacing.

Lowry, Gray for Bayless, Koufos (after Gasol comes back, of course)

Why for Toronto? Replacing Lowry with Bayless at the 1 helps the tank, and we pick up an interesting young big in Koufos who we can either hold on to, or flip to another team.

Why for Memphis? They get much-needed scoring and playmaking off their bench, and get a big body in Gray to offset the loss of Koufos, who won't play much once Gasol is healthy anyway.

I wonder if Gay would give up his option year in order to get a trade out of here? Turk had to give up a year to get out. And Gay probably wants the security of a longer term deal this summer anyways if he can get 4/48 or better.

If he can only get 4/40 he likely opts in though since the extra 3 years are only at 7 per, barely above MLE.

LOL I highly doubt Detroit does this, but done deal on my end.
