I did some stats digging and I found a few things:

- companies do not have to report their findings for peer review. It is very unlikely to do so if they will lose a competitive advantage.
- NRC's role in the virus fight is of assistance. They are not controlling anything so companies don't have to report anything to them

https://nrc.canada.ca/en/corporate/nrc-covid-19-response

- You can search for anything to report on the virus here. They have nothing. Anything on the coronavirus is old. SARS old.

https://nrc-publications.canada.ca/eng/search/?q=*&s=dtp

- The request was very specific and they said they have no reports that match that query. Government agencies can be very tricky if you deal with it. This is a government running a store - if you go in and ask for tea bubble they would say they have none. If the next customer comes in and asks for bubble tea they will say they have crates in the back. Ms. Massey went with in agenda and they couldn't match that agenda. Doesn't mean if worded differently they would not have something. Anyways I doubt it, if I was in the Covid-19 race I would update Health Canada after the fact.

- Lastly what is the point you're trying to make. That Covid-19 doesn't exist? If that's your point I would ask the mods to ban you for sheer stupidity.

What are you suggesting? Is the letter fake? Is Health Canada lying or withholding information by their response?

"Upper and lower respiratory tract secretion samples from putative patients with COVID-19 were inoculated onto cells to isolate the virus. Full genome sequencing and electron microscopy were used to identify the virus."

"Fecal samples contained higher loads of virus DNA than did respiratory specimens collected 17 to 28 days after symptom onset. I don't think anyone is saying the letter is fake, just that the author of the letter is asking for a specific formulation which is not how the virus is analyzed and discussed. If you think that somehow these methods of isolation are introducing the virus to samples where it didnt actually exist, then say so. I'm mostly willing to consider alternative explanations that go against the dominant narrative, but the idea that what we're finding as the virus is somehow just created by how we test for it really conflicts with a lot of data. We've seen enough places with major outbreaks and death that it's clear that some sort of infectious disease is spreading. What's your explanation for what we saw in New York and Milan? Plus the positive test rate varies significantly by place and time, which you wouldn't expect if the test were just creating positives rather than finding something related to the virus. Plus how do you explain how these positive test rates precede hospitalizations and deaths in hotspots if the tests aren't actually related to the presence of the virus?

Culturing a virus and sequencing it...means it doesn’t exist. Check mate? What the **** is going on here?

People have literally taken blood, feces, urine, snot, and tears from infected people, cultured the virus, sequenced it’s genome, and published the results in labs all over the world. But it doesn’t exist. Because apparently doing those things isn’t how you “isolate” a virus. According to fluoridefreepeel.com, and shared here by an anti vaxxer. Beyond parody.

Yeah, you aren’t going to be “debunking” anything else. Do not continue posting conspiracy theories in this thread. PM me if you’d like to discuss this further.

We'll only be free of this when a vaccine comes out. If they don't want to get it, they don't have to.

LOL... you guys are too much. I posted a link to Twitter, not a conspiracy website. I don't know who this lady is, I've only visited the website to view the file, and was not and am not posting conspiracy theories in this thread as both mods and other posters have suggested.

I have been a member of this forum for quiet some time and have been actively participating in this thread for months now, without any agenda or motivation other than to shed light on the stories, talking points, and information the mainstream media and most people following this situation probably wouldn't find on their own.

In the case of the letter provided earlier, Health Canada received a request from a Canadian citizen named Christine Massey of Brampton, Ontario. In this letter, that was posted on Twitter with a referral link to the source file for reference, Health Canada is responding to her request for information under the Access to Information Act.

As part of that request, Ms. Massey asked for all available records that would describe "the isolation of a SARS-COV-2 virus, directly from a sample taken from a diseased patient, where the patient sample was not first combined with any other source of genetic material."

Upon receipt of this request, Health Canada completed a thorough search of the records they hold in their custody and upon their review of these documents, they "were unable to locate any records responsive to [her] request"

Since Health Canada could not provide any records to support the isolation of a SARS-COV-2 virus without it first being combined with genetic material from another source prior to testing, does that mean SARS-COV-2 is a conspiracy or a hoax?

No, it does not. It means exactly what it says: all of the covid-19 samples Health Canada has in its custody were combined with the genetic material from another source before testing.

If they had records of covid-19 samples from patients that weren't combined with the genetic material from another source prior to testing, why wouldn't they provide them when requested?

Since they can't provide records of samples that don't exist, perhaps the better question to ask is: Why is the sample from a potential covid-19 patient being combined with the genetic material from another source before the test is run and how does that affect the viability of the testing methods being used?

She explicitly asked them to remove anything that would meet these criteria:

• the culturing of something, or
• the performance of an amplification test (i.e. a PCR test), or
• the sequencing of something.

She asked for a very specific thing that makes no sense to ask for and is trying to use it as proof that the virus doesn't actually exist. It's a very stupid FOI request, and it was very stupid to post it here with your also extremely stupid "check and mate" comment. You are trying to argue that the virus doesn't exist. That was the whole point of posting it along with the gif like you have just discovered something important. It was **** laughable.

Very sneaky way to try and get the video posted here. But yes, she believes that a bunch of diseases are caused by demon sperm. So your mileage might vary.

The stats on false negative and false positives exist. The rate of false positives is extremely low, so it doesn't seem like the introduction of other genetic material, or any other reason, is causing a significant number of false positives. The false negative rate is actually pretty high. For some applications this is a concern, like when trying to use recent negative tests as an all-clear signal. This issue comes up in sports leagues, but also some US colleges and even some hotels in US states have policies of requiring recent negative tests to enter them. While better than nothing, it's clearly not a complete solution as people can indeed have the virus and be contagious despite a recent negative test. That said, even with a fairly high false negative rate, the tests in aggregate tell a reasonably accurate picture of how quickly cases are increasing or decreasing in different geographies at different times.

I think the introduction of foreign genetic material to a sample that is being tested for the presence of corona virus could taint the sample and make the results of the test inaccurate and useless.

If that weren't the case, the introduction of foreign genetic materials to blood, saliva, or other fluid samples prior to testing would be a generally accepted and widely-used practice for all forms of medical testing and analysis.

For example, let's say you noticed you had increased thirst, frequent urination, fatigue and irritability the past few weeks and went to see the doctor to figure out why.

After speaking with the doctor to explain your symptoms, the doctor tells you he wants to take a blood sample and run some tests.

While he's not sure why you're more thirsty, urinate more often, get tired faster and don't have as much patience as you used to, many people with diabetes have similar symptoms so he requests a RPG test to measure the sugar levels in your blood.

After the sample of blood is taken from your arm, the lab tech "combines it with the genetic material from another source" before running the tests.

In this example, let's say the "genetic material" is a little bit of Coca-Cola or some other high-fructose/glucose/sugar liquid that's combined with your blood before your blood sugar levels are tested.

Would you still trust the validity of that test?
