Reason why the tank will never work.
Team doesn't play good when they healthy and supposed to. But when guys are missing they over achieve and played their hearts out

were prolly quite motivated to put an end to the tank
Forum chatter and social media are extremely low in the pecking order of motivational sources for professional athletes.
Pride, character and money (eg. bad performances directly correlated - see Stanley) are all the motivation they need, and the Raps players have a ton of the first two characteristics.

You can only overachieve for so much with the bench players before you come back down to earth. Ridiculous 3pt shooting is responsible for our undermanned wins

Sabonis is also a typical soft euro big.

Most Euros are soft. Guy couldn't even make a contested layup. Fraud.

There are only two NBA players this season that have had double/doubles in every game since the start of the season. Hasn't happened for over 50 seasons, when Wilt Chamberlain and Nate Thurmond accomplished it on their way to HOF.
The two are Jokic and Sabonis.
If you need some storage idea's for the soft Euro big stereotype, I have a suggestion, if you can accept something from a mediocre thinker.

I won't, sorry. He'll get exposed in the playoffs.

Funny...Sabonis is literally the perfect fit for our team right now. Cleans the glass really well so we could get out and run, defends well, has some range now, is not soft in any way shape or form unless you're just cranky.
But he'll be exposed because he's not GA or Durant. Just like every single other player that didn't get out of the conference... all terrible and exposed.

This is not a new thing though, the team has been like this. Last year we had the most injuries and were fine. Regular season wins they will always pull through but playoffs is when they get exposed

Tre Mann, SG
Trendon Watford, SF
Scottie Lewis, SG
Chris Duarte, SG
Ariel Hukporti, C

Hopefully they can suck so bad the first pick or they can get a top 3 pick (last week)!
Like I said...except it was never plausible.

Re: Tank World Order
Here is the difference, TWO is holding out hope for a tank because we believe its the smartest path going forward to building a sustainable contender.
Team treadmill are the ones who are desperate to be right because even they don't actually believe this team as currently constructed will do anything of note yet still revel in their "fandom."
If the Raptors are intent to go for the 7th seed why would I change my opinion of what i believe is the right move? Its a hope, not a prediction.
People equating the direction of a sports team to being Nazis essentially. You do realize that any lens of sports fandom is "crazy" in its own way, right? Being super invested in putting a ball into a basket isn't logical in any sense.

One would have thought will all the years of Demar and Kyle winning regular season games only to be embarrassed that they would see a mediocre team with regard to long term success a mile away.
Now there are discussions of us making it out of the East.
Strange times indeed.
