I think it is a bit of an elephant in the room. People figured that JV's offseason training would equate to a refined post game (Dream training) and additional bulk to stop good centers, but nothing has really showed.

To me, he seems like a young player that plays based on his emotions. I think he let the poor PG play affect his game. I think he let the refs dictate how aggressively he defends. I just see a bit of his confidence lacking on both ends. But, this is JV. He will even out once something lights a fire under him. I think he dominates S. Korea today. He needs the confidence boost going in and the easy prey will hopefully allow him to get better established.

Lose or win by 1-4 pts and you are 3d.... which is ok if you want to avoid USA. Win by 5-8 and you are second which would mean USA in quarterfinals....Pretty tough position to be at the end of the close game lol.

This will be outdated soon, but what if Angola wins against Slovenia today?

Unlikely but in that case LT loses chance to win group.

I believe it was Hills 5th year. I still remember the day he was drafted like it was yesterday, I was not impressed, time goes fast. Hes a monstrous offensive rebounder tho.

He's looked pretty good actually. Both of those things have shown. So far he has dominated the people he should be dominating. He's had a couple games where he has struggled but he has definitely been moving better and his offensive moves are expanding. Are you guys aware that Jonas is entitled to a bad or okay game sometimes just like any other player??

His game is developing nicely. His consistency will improve once he has a more solid base on both ends of the court.

I questioned his improvement level after his first few warm-up games where he put up nice numbers, where it seemed to me like his strengths/weaknesses were basically status quo.

FIBA stat crew is blind, Jonas made great assist for Seibutis 3 pointer and nobody got credited for it. Overall LT is not playing well in first quarter. Jonas with 4 pts, 1 reb, 1 blk so far. And that assist which was stolen by stat crew:/

Motiejunas is doing what LT guards are unable to do. Two nice entry assists leading to two easy dunks by JV. JV with 8pts, 5 reb at the half. ( 4/4 FG ).

Donut is the only guy that consistently looks for JV.

D-Mo is the only guy who looks for Val.

At one point Val had of the guards on his back (the really old guy, Moon Tae Jun?) and they looked him off, incredible.

Man if not for D-Mo Jonas wouldn't have gotten any touches. Lithuanian guards are still terrible as always at finding others and creating plays. D-Mo is better playmaker than them.

Sounds like what happens with the Raptors - only one guy on the floor looking to pass to JV. Sometimes it's Kyle, sometimes it's Amir.

But the guy who almost always looks for JV is Landry Fields. I know people here don't like him b/c of his contract and poor offensive skill, but he makes the right passes and puts in the effort on defense more often than anybody else on the team.

https://www.bsports.com/statsinsights/nba/nba-assist-location-part-ii#.VAdkeWPL5jU

Demar is 9th in 3pt assists(160)
Kyle Lowry is 13th(147)

Demar is 10th in corner 3 assists(50), 9th in wing 3 assists(90), 10th in top of key 3 assists(20)

But yeah sure..Landry Fields is our best passer
