Well forget Simmons then, Masai should focus on the Sacramento trade, getting back a Mitchell or Haliburton

Good. Pretty sure we see the idea of trading the farm for such an obviously flawed player as a bad situation that we want nada to do with.

What a nightmare this jackass would be as a Raptor. Would set us back the better part of a decade.

We got Barnes who will be better than Simmons with his work ethic and attitude.

You can’t just ignore re-signing our own free agents. Fred, Kyle, and Serge were all UFA and each was integral to the championship.

This is not a complaint on our management overall as they have been great but more so on signing free agents from other teams. This is a process that many teams use to improve their teams.

We seem to lack the skill to identify the right players as it's been a constant turnstile. Birch as someone else pointed out seemed like a nice add. Just wish we had more of those.

It seems like Simmons wants to keep dating the Kardashians and living the luxurious life in California.

Excellent news.

We shouldn't be even considering Simmons at all anyways.

I think the writer got it wrong - it's actually "Toronto sees Ben as a bad situation that they do not want to get into". There, fixed it.

Simmons ain't wrong. This would be a bad situation for him, the Raptors don't have 3+ proven scorers that Ben can hide behind.
Good Lord, the little stoner's got a point.

Instead of paying big dollars for mediocre players, they can sign bigger talent at a bargain rate.

Whether you like them or not Schroeder, oubre and Markennin are all on the board and can be had for less than market. And there is still some young talent in Harry Giles and Willy Hernangomez available.

Sometimes it backfires, but I like it better as an approach compared to the Knicks where they have a lot of money tied up in lesser players for multiple years.

Historically I think the best FA signings have been the undrafted pool FVV, Boucher, TD. I think Bismack was probably our best FA signing using the slow play approach.

But I think many folks were pretty happy with the Baynes, RHJ, Stanley Johnson, Bembry signings at the time. I liked Len too (a lottery pick that could use a change of scenery” it didn’t work out, but it was low risk. And if those moves do work out it’s a lot of upside. It does beat the knicks approach IMO and like another poster mentioned it was probably born from ptsd as a result of the Caroll signing

Hilarious Ben.

I hope he gets traded to OKC.
He seems like the type that would quit on his team just to get traded to where he wants and would tank his own value.

"Ben Simmons sees Toronto and Portland (among other teams) as bad situations that “he isn’t going into.”
Simmons is open to the California teams"

Simmons stans in shambles.

Ben always struck me as too cocky and more about that LA life than to be a fit here. Chase your deluded dreams, Ben.
