That seems completely reasonable. Unless it's a team he specifically wants to play for there is no benefit to him making any promises.

It's not reasonable because he is making it public which poop offers. The front office right now are screwing over the Barnes's development year. His attempts and usage have tanked and we have some clowns that think we should resign some lazy diva about to turn 30

If you're an organization that has his bird rights, you let the money do the persuading.

That is why it is FAKE NEWS. Money will always talk.

It’s on FO to navigate this better. Not on Siakam. He’s looking out for himself.

Bash Masai and Bobby, not Siakam.

When a star player bails - y'all complain.
When a star player, that has done so much for this franchise, wants to stay - y'all complain.

It ain't all about Barnes. If moving Pascal was this important to the FO, they should've done it last season or even this past summer. They chose to wait till the last minute and now they're paying the price.

FWIW - the source is Matt Moore.

Zero credibility.

Yup. The Sixers. Only team that makes sense. They upgrade from to Tobias Harris to Pascal, and atone for their mistake in not maxing out Butler.

Masai's goal now should be to clear as much cap space for the summer by trading Schroder and Boucher for expirings. It's the only way to start building a competitive team around Scottie, RJ and IQ going forward.

I also think it's the Sixers. This supposed fued with Nurse was overblown. It was one incident. Siakam became a 2x A-S and 2x All-NBA under him. Nurse loved him and played him as much as he wanted, and Siakam seemingly enjoyed the heavy minutes. I also think people are overstating the renouncements and other cuts they would have to make. When you can come out of it with a trio of Embiid, Maxey and Siakam, you do it.

Disagree. I don't think Pascal has been trying as hard (especially on D). I am not buying this whole 'Pascal is giving us all' these days. Pascal has more or less given up on the team and is just stat-padding these days.

I'd bet a lot of money that the team with his bird rights will be the team that signs him.

Calling him a lazy diva seems far fetched when he's done everything asked of him here without complaining.

Given the limited UFA options for Siakam (sixers, Pistons are most viable) , no extension talks with an acquiring team right now makes little sense.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

That’s dumb on his part. Half these teams can’t even sign him in the off-season.

Is it really Philly or bust?

How do you watch our lack of spacing and think Pascal next to Embiid is worth investing a max?

He's letting potential teams know that if they trade for him they better be ready to offer him a 5 year max.

Stat-padding = looking out for himself.

FO should have shipped him out this offseason and sniffed this out

They wanted to see the fit of Siakam in the new offense before deciding but they might even have more questions now than before. He's become more efficient with less usage which has been what the FO wanted to see from him but at the same time we are losing a lot of games and likely doing much worse as a team than they anticipated.

That's not what I'm getting at.
The OP was talking down on Pascal because all he's worried about is Barnes' usage rate.

Unfortunately for Pascal, this is a typical way to ruin your reputation before leaving for another team. Will Pascal be the next Vince and/or Bosh?
