Wiretap says David Lee is putting up 500 3's a day. If you ever needed a sign that he's coming here via S&T for Bosh, that's it.

Lee is over-rated a lot...not sure if I want him to be in Raps jersey...

What about some defence? I rather Okafor than Lee (slightly).

^^^^^^ Simpsons Episode, circa 2001:

Teen #1: "Are you being sarcastic, dude?"

Teen # 2: "I don't even know any more."

Would Toronto fans be up for something like Bosh/Hedo/Calderon in exchange for a bunch of expiring contracts, Delonte West's Erik Dampier expiring, a few future 1st round picks, JJ Hickson, and Rudy Fernandez?

I am the one who believe that David Lee can be a good piece to aquire for Bosh..No one on here expects us to contend this season so whats to lose if we give a shot at Lee/Bargnani? If it dont pan out we can always move Lee to other teams something like Lee/D.Derozan for J.Green/J.Harden/B.J.Mllen??? / Lee for Gortat/Bass or Pietrus????

Anyway,heres my trade idea..

Toronto

Out
Chris Bosh
Jaret Jack
Hedo Turkoglue
Antoine Wright

In
Rudy Gay
Marcin Gortat
Michael Pietrus
Tony Douglas
Eddy Curry

Line Up
PG: Jose Calderon/Tony Douglas/Marcus Banks
SG: Michael Pietrus/Marco Belineli
SF: Rudy Gay/Sony Weems
PF :Andrea Bargnani/Amir Johnson/Reggie Evans
C: Marcin Gortat/13th pick/Eddy Curry

NY

Out
David Lee
Eddy Curry
Wilson Chandler
Tony Douglas
Al Harrington

In
Chris Bosh
Jaret Jack
Antoine Wright
Boris Diaw
Tyrus Thomas

Line Up
PG: Jaret Jack/
SG: JJ?????/Antoine Wright
SF: Danilo Galinari/Bill Walker
PF:Tyrus Thomas/Boris Diaw
C:Chris Bosh/Earl Baron

Olrando
Out
Marcin Gortat
Michael Pietrus

In
David Lee

Line Up
PG:Jameer Nelson/
SG:Vince Carter/J.J Reddick??
SF:Rashard Lewis/Matt Barnes
PF:David Lee/Brandon Bass
C:Dwight Howard/Ryan Andrerson/rookie

Charlotte
Out
Boris Diaw
Tyrus Thomas

In
Hedo Turkoglue
Al Harrington

Line Up
PG:Raymond Felton??/D.J Augustine
SG:Stephen Jackson/G.Henderson
SF:Hedo Turkoglue
PF:Gerald Wallace/Al Harrington
C:Tyson Chandler/D.Diop/N.Mohamed

Memphis
Out
Rudy Gay

In
Wilson Chandler
Demar Derozan

Line Up
PG:Mike Conley/Rookie
SG:O.J.Mayo/Demar Derozan
SF:Wilson Chandler/Sam Young
PF:Zack Randolph/D.Arthur
C:Marc Gasol/H.Thabeet

Thoughts?

I don't think Charlotte and Memphis would agree but the Orlando and NY part seem possbile. But Bosh and Lee would have to agree (Lee's demands) and on the other hand, without the other two trades I'm not sure how beneficial it is for the Raptors, although Gortat/Pietrus/Douglas.. it could be worse I guess.

Have these guys even opted out yet? What happens if these guys decide not to opt out and play it out for one more year?

Even without Harrington/Thomas swap and include Diop for Evans and no Memphis(it was my pipe dream)

We still have
Calderon/Douglas/Banks
Derozan/Weems/Belineli
Chandler/Pietrus
Bargnani/Johnson
Gortat/Diop/Rookie/E.Curry(buy out)

I still like this team..Hell I like this team more than last season's

They would lose a lot of money is what would happen if they didn't opt out. There's a possible lockout in 2011, and a new supposedly harsher CBA on the way. Opt out now, sign the guaranteed deal, make money.

I would like it if we got Bayless too, but it's a pretty good deal.

Where do you guys think David Lee will end up? I ask this, because let's just say, that LeBron goes to New York. Chris Bosh follows suit, and I know that is probably the worst case scenario for us...unless Steve Fruitman...err...Bryan Colangelo can swing a three way deal, similar to the one he pulled off last offseason involving Turkoglu and Marion in double S&Ts. The third team would have to be of Lee's choice or preference. I mean, unless Lee wants to play in Toronto, a third team would have to be involved, right?

Any idea as to which team would get involved in such a scenario? Honestly, I'm clueless. Maybe, Pheonix, OKC? Possibly, the Warriors, given that D. Lee dropped 37 pts. 21 rebs. and 10 ast. on them last season, they probably will have interest, but will Lee?

I really believe we could get a valuable piece back in such a deal, in addition to Eddy Curry's expiring contract from NY. I would be interested in such a deal, if at all possible.

Assuming Lebron and Bosh go to NY as you say, then the other likely destinations for Lee are NJ and Miami... of course this is all pending on what Boozer/Amare do. Really, unless NY is trying to clear Lee off their roster quickly (or would they just renounce him? :dontknow: ) I think the Lee situation would take a while to resolve, because Bosh, Amare, and possibly Boozer are likely higher on the priority list for teams.

Cavs send (to Toronto): Varejao, Jamison, West, rights to Eyenga, two future 1st rounders

Toronto sends (to Cleveland): Bosh & Calderon

Suprisingly, there has been a recent push that step two of the Free Agent process (after Lebron and Wade decide where they will be for the next 5 year-6 years) Bosh will join one of them. There have been talks now that Lebron is seriously considering Brooklyn.

As you know Toronto will be able to get something back in a S & T but it will be .20 on the dollar. What would you look for from the Nets? They won't give up the #3 pick, Lopez, or Devin Harris. But, they have the most 1st round picks in the next 3 years as well as some young talent on the rise (TWill, CDR, C Lee, Yi, etc.)

I would do Bosh for Bynum and then do what I had to do to get AB's leg as close to 100% as possible. Mcdyess's knee was shattered and he was 8 years older than AB is. IF you get the right guy to take care of his leg and do the right training and wait until he is fully mended you could NOT do better than this trade. AB is unique in this league and while he wont be the same ab of two years ago prior to injury--a healthy AB can still put up 20-10 2.5 in my opinion

Crap return for Toronto, does nothing but give us truly mediocre pieces. Cleveland is a pretty bad trading partner, luckily BC won't get forced into taking crap back from them since they are over the cap.

New Jersey has very little to offer Toronto in a s&t, as you pointed out #3 Lopez and Harris likely won't be in play, so that leaves some mediocre wing prospects in CDR/TWill/Lee and Golden State's 2012 pick.
