Geez, watching DeRozan tonight give me our playoffs struggles. He was great this year, but as we all know comes playoffs time …

typical playoff DeRo 6 for 25 , useless slug hasn't improved in all these years and he still gives you his typical pathetic defense

Feel bad for Bulls fans, but I think they understood the risks with signing guys like Demar and Vuc. They'll get you into the playoffs, just don't expecr success once there. If you haven't sniffed the playoffs in a decade, then this is acceptable... you want to at least see some forward progress off the losing treadmill and see what moves you can make to improve from there.

If they had Lonzo, they would've won game 1. Derozan would've had 4-5 less shots and Caruso would've had 1-2 less shots.

guys demar game 2.
pretty outstanding.
pretty much the best player on the court, vs a guy considered the best player in the world.
Demar has really elevated his game and his wilt chamberlain record kinda denotes that. more than just ' oh its regular season demar.'

His shooting percentage is still terrible. What wilt chamberlain record does he have?

Every now and then, Sam Dekker is name-dropped when some fans are complaining about our lack of 3pt shooters.."we should have kept him"
Well his 3pt shot was a one-hit(one-year) wonder in Turkey(as I suspected)
He went back to Turkey after we rightfully cut him and he has been shooting .351 from 3PT%

Demar has somehow managed to post even worse shooting splits than he has over his career.

Career, playoffs: .417 FG, .214 3PT, .502 TS%
21/22, playoffs: .401 FG, .000 3PT, .488 TS%

He's just not a #1/#2 option. There's years of evidence that suggest this. If he was used as a #3/#4 option instead, you'd likley see his efficiency rise with less attention and inferior defenders on him.

your right he's not a 1st or 2nd option and to be a useful 3rd/4th option you need to compliment your 1st/2nd option and no one wants a sg/sf 3rd/4th option who can't spread the floor or play D

he doesn't play a winning game , at best he should be coming off the bench and getting 20mins

My Favorite player. I'd love to have him back in the fold. Precious is our closest comp to him, and Bruno adds to our position less playstyle. He might be a lot more comfortable in our scheme now, both offensively and defensively. Masai had the vision all the way back then

His arms still look so funny even after he bulked up a bit.

He can play against inferior competition, but he's always looked bad against NBA players. The NBB isn't exactly a top tier league. Definitely not as good as the G league.

Maybe you give him a tryout next season if he has interest in coming, but something about his NBA experience tells me he's happy to be a big fish in a little pond vs. riding the bench here.

I don't think things were always so bad for him in the NBA. He was decent for Houston and Memphis. I actually thought he was gonna find a home in Houston when Dantoni was there. His wingspan is so ridiculous he can make plays on both sides of the ball, and he can space the floor so you can hide in the corner, and he's long enough to be effective in the dunkers position. It's always been a mental game and getting an opportunity to play through mistakes.
