What's wrong with MKG over Lamb? MKG is ranked top 2 or 3 in virtually every mock draft... If we're going by drafting BPA it would only make sense...

What would you do with that pick? Would you trade it? Who would you Draft and why?

The following is off the board: (Andre Drummond doesn't declare)
Anthony Davis, Thomas Robinson, MKG, Harrison Barnes, Bradley Beal, Jeremy Lamb

This is what I would do, draft Austin Rivers then trade his rights along with Ed Davis + Filter for Rondo. I don't know if Boston would do it but it definitely would make some sense for them, Davis can replace KG when he leaves/retires and Rivers plays for his dad.

Nothing wrong with drafting Sullinger. I could see him being in an all-star uniform for the same reasons David West and Carlos Boozer were

I didn't say that. You said you prefer MKG over Lamb in your post..Why? Simply because he's projected to go over Lamb?

I agree. I've been a long time of fan of Quincy Miller. How do you know he's making a decision today though? I think trading someone like Ed to grab him in the mid-first round would be a good pick up.

Yeah, I would just take Sullinger in that situation and would explore trades for Bargs/Ed/Amir. But I'd say that specific draft scenario as outlined by vexen is pretty unlikely.

I think it's fair to think Lamb is a better prospect, but yeah, the consensus among Mocks (and NBA GMs) are that TRob and MKG are locks for the 2 and 3 picks - and that was before the tournament. The possible dark horses to sneak into the top 3 are Beal and Drummond.

I could be wrong, and I don't think it would be shocking if Lamb was picked before MKG, or turns out to be the better player. But it's hardly shocking that someone thinks MKG will be drafted before Lamb considering that every source seems to point that way.

Same. I'm almost certain MKG will slip after workouts.

But if we draft Beal/Lamb where the hell should we put Derozan? I don't see him as SF. And how then Beal/Lamb could become an allstar under Demar's wing. :-?

What's funny is that I had lunch with Terrence Ross' agent yesterday. We talked about every possible scenario. Toronto never came up.

Okay, but if it's the Raptors turn to pick, and MKG and Lamb are both available (assuming t-rob & beal are gone)... who would you pick?

By the way Chad Ford moved Terrence Jones to #8 on the big board. I want nothing to do with him for our pick but if someone wants him top 10 that's a good thing for us.

Jeremy Lamb is easily a better ball player than MKG. He still needs to refine his skills because at this point he's relying a lot on a high motor and hustle. Won't be enough for the pros.

I'm fine with trading DeRozan. But BC mused in an interview this year that he thinks DeMar could be a 3 anyway, so -- knowing the Raptors -- they'd probably try him at a different position before moving him.

All signs point to having to draft MKG over Lamb, but I definitely prefer Lamb. I definitely don`t see MKG as a top 3 prospect, but he has definitely won over a few people. It is far too easy to overrate winners, and I think that is what is being done to some extent. MKG, Barnes, and Drummond really scare me as potential top 5 picks while I feel Lamb is a no-brainer outside of the top 5.

It is looking more and more like a GM is going to totally regret whoever he takes with a pick in the 2-6 range while there are a few guys like Sullinger and Lamb who seem like incredibly safe picks who could be had somewhere in the 6-12 range.

Yeah it's pretty clear what you have to do. You play them together for a little to see how it works but you don't wait too long before you pull the trigger or else you risk losing a lot of DeMar's trade value.

Well we are currently sitting at 6th and all it would take is for one team like Utah to win the lottery and we would be pushed down to 7th. It's very possible.

Yep. I think these mock drafts are clouding people's judgement of evaluating prospects.

If you have watched alot of baylor games this season, you would know Pierre Jackson is the fastest player on Baylor. What does he do faceup? blow by? no. Shooting over people? No. A pullup? No. He only has that jump shot at the elbow and short corner. That's it.

And he definitely lacks post moves, he has no fakes/pivots move in the paint, he only has that back down then turn around jump hook, nothing else.

Ding Ding!

Stop trying to talk yourself in this kid when it should be obvious he will be incapable of playing the 3, and at the 4 he will simply not be productive.

Who are you to tell us what prospects to like? Clearly we would have a lot of prospects ahead of Pj3. But at 7-8 I still think you take him and run. Just my opinion.
